Alert The Daily Prophet: Daniel Radcliffe is lending his voice to an episode of The Simpsons, exec producer Al Jean tells EW. In a Twilight spoof that’s part of next fall’s “Treehouse of Horror XXI,” the Harry Potter star plays Edmund, a kid vampire whom Lisa falls for. Alas, Edmund’s father, a.k.a. Dracula, and Homer try to squash the budding romance. “Daniel was very excited to do The Simpsons,” says Jean, “and we kept trying to ask him for secrets from the upcoming Harry Potter movie until we realized that they were all in the books.”

I know. That’s my favorite episode…the one with Dan. He’s got excellent comedic timing! I hope he can be on episode of SNL since the next HP film comes out during the Fall of 2010 and SNL should be shooting by then.
Oh, I would LOVE to see him on SNL!! He’s very funny in all his interviews and was hysterical on Extras.

I’ve been waiting for a Twilight parody on Treehouse of Horror. It’s too bad there’s such a lead time for Simpsons episodes and they can’t be as topical as South Park.
Weird they ask daniel to star in a twilight simpson parody.
Maybe he isn’t available until they do the Halloween episode. They may not have wanted to do a Harry Potter thing in that case since it’s not a ‘horror’ story and they already made a reference to it when they went to Britain. (JKR showed up in that episode.)
They did the Harry Potter parody a few years ago – “Wiz Kids” – With Lisa as the brainy one battling Lord Monty-mort.
Harry Potter was already done as a Treehouse of Horror spoof, years ago.
I think this sounds hilarious and funny. And it makes sense for Radcliffe to do it, seeing as so many people keep trying to make Twilight “the next Harry Potter,” and Radcliffe actually co-starred in Goblet of Fire with Pattinson.

They plan this stuff way in advance, probably so the guest stars have plenty of heads-up notice.
