Fox was back to earthly ratings levels in its first post-baseball Sunday evening with relocated-from-Friday fall sitcom bomb Brothers and American Dad, which, without its regular Family Guy lead-in, was down 2.2 million viewers from its last original airing, according to early Nielsen estimates. A Family Guy special, Seth & Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show, came in 1.2 million viewers below Family Guy’s most recent episode and just a bit lower than the two originals it was sandwiched between this week. NBC easily won the night with, of course, sports – Sunday Night Football’s Cowboys-Eagles matchup scored 19 million viewers, up almost 50 percent over the last game now that there’s no baseball competition.
Here, a look at Sunday’s lineup (with approximate numbers for CBS, which was skewed by early-evening football overrun):

There wasn’t a Sunday Night football game last weekend. They are always pre-empted during World Series. Man, you guys suck at research sometimes.
They mean last night.
Umm… they’re referring to yesterday when there was, indeed, a football game on at night.
ummm no austinrob is right, the article says there was a 50% increase for football because there was no baseball competition, but there was no sunday night football at all last week.
Unless the article is referring to a few weeks ago when they were up against baseball, then the article could be right.
If I’m fox I’m disappointed for the night I would expect Family Guy, Seth’s show, and the Cleveland Show to rack up 8 mill apiece.
I think probaby the audiences for these shows would record it and watch the football game live. At least thats what i do.
