The series premiere of ABC’s sci-fi drama V performed mightily in Tuesday’s 8-9 p.m. hour, and even built its audience by 2 percent in the second half hour. V earned ABC the highest Adult 18-49 rating for an 8 p.m. drama debut on any network and any night since the 2004 series premiere of Lost. Meanwhile, NBC’s The Biggest Loser built its audience by over a million viewers from 8-10 p.m., and Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance lost 13 percent of its audience from 9-10 p.m., perhaps due to Dancing With the Stars‘ double-elimination results show. After a week of repeats, average viewership for NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles was slightly down since their last new episodes October 20, but both won their competitive time slots as usual to let CBS sweep the chart in total viewership for Tuesday night.

I bet ABC will dump one of its poorly
rated, like Forgotten, Betty, or Eastwick, allowing V to stay on beyond the first 4 episodes.
V is on a filming hiatus until January so this won’t happen. Unfortunately, we are stuck with ABC’s lame decision to air 4 episodes now followed by a 3 month break.
They should be smart indeed and do that!
The syfy channel has been cutting up shows for years!!! This is nothing new, unfortunatley
Congrats V…I hope the ratings stay up for them. The show is awesome and I believe will just get better. Most Pilots are a little off at first. On a different note, why are people not watching the Forgotten…It is a very good show and Christian Slater is superb.
Uh, *because* it has Christian Slater in it.
Loved the premiere of “V”. It’s nice to finally have a show to watch on Tuesdays!
I was so annoyed last night. ABC in Nashville decided to show the Jeff Fisher show. Really?? So stupid that I had to miss this for them to show a stupid hour long show about how the Titans finally managed to win a game! So now I don’t get to watch V until I get home tonight…
You’re not the only Nashvillian who’s upset about that, and this is coming from someone who watches the Titans games religiously. It really could’ve been moved to a different station (like NBC or MyTV30) to avoid conflicting with the ‘V’ premier. Sadly, since it airs every Tuesday at that time slot, we’re kind of screwed until the March episodes.
I enjoy The Forgotten & hope that it’s going to stay. There should be room for it and for V on the schedule.
The forgotten is a great show. ABC needs to promote it more. Each episode is getting better. If only ABC would give it a chance to grow.
I really like “The Forgotten.” Really. Like. It.
With “V,” “Castle” “FlashForward” and “The Forgotten” on board, I find I’m watching more ABC than I have in years. In fact, ABC has almost completely subsumed NBC’s place in my regular viewing. The only prime-time NBC program I watch anymore is “Heroes.”
OMG for real Nashville! Even people who love football boo at the Jeff Fisher show broadcasting over the “V” premier, but just imagine how the people feel who couldn’t care less about the titans and their skillz at failing. I was all prep’d and ready to sit down and get into this show and what I get is this Old, beat, sick looking clownshoe with a vacuum attachment on his lip and nothing important to say. Blah blah blah we won a game and no one cares! Wonderful! (o_O)
The Forgotten gets more and more amazing with each episode. Rarely do you find series where the quality of the last episode is surpassed by the new episode every single time. ABC is having so much luck with all of their new 8pm dramas maybe they should try Theforgotten at 8pm on Fridays. That said; the demo rating for “V” is something special, a 5.2. Grey’s Anatomy may have a fight on its hand now trying to stay the number one drama on tv in the 18-49 demo.

“NCIS” Delivers 20.2 Million Viewers Opposite the Highly Promoted Premiere of
“V”
Works for me!
I Love NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles forever!
