Baseball playoffs and a round of repeats shook up the ratings board last night. Survivor was up a solid 1 million viewers over last week, and freshman series FlashForward posted gains as well, bringing in an additional 700,000 audience members. NBC’s comedy bloc saw slight improvements over last week, particularly in the 9:00 slot with The Office and 30 Rock both adding 400,000 viewers over. CBS’s procedural repeats gave ABC the advantage at 9 p.m., and Grey’s dominated its timeslot, particularly in the 18-49 demographic.

Come on Yankees. Close it out.
I don’t think it’s fair to compare other shows to SURVIVOR… It’s just toooooooooooo good for other shows to compete with!!!! GO SURVIVOR!!!!!!!

NBC’s scheduling is mind-boggling. Your highest-rated two shows on Thursday night are the Office and 30 Rock, so why wouldn’t you move 30 Rock to 7, so it can lead things off and benefit the show after it, and have the Office benefit the show after it?
I don’t believe that the Office has much to do with 30 Rock’s ratings – 30 Rock is going to get the same ratings no matter where it is.
You can’t start your primetime at 7 — no one would watch.
So how about if somebody write weekly articles on Flashforward?
wondering about that, as well…
Watched Survivor this morning- intense! ABC had a huge night as everything went up this week. Flashforward was brilliant! Can’t wait to see how they pull off all the various flashes- the white guy that turns black, the FBI agent that was shot in the abdomen gets pregnant, the senator that usurps the current President, etc. – going to be an amazing ride to the season finale. And Grey’s Anatomy with a 5.2 demo rating will be the number one scripted show again unless Desperate Housewives beats it Sunday.
