Attention Gleeks: you may be able to catch all your favorite Glee songs performed live next year. EW has learned that a Glee music tour is in the early discussion stage. It’s not surprising given that the series’ music has been exploding on iTunes and the first Glee soundtrack drops on Nov. 3. Back in July, Fox Broadcasting president Kevin Reilly hinted at the development to EW. “We’ve had a tremendous amount of enthusiasm from our music partners,” said Reilly. ”Certainly if these kids become stars in their own right, who knows? Live appearances. Albums. There’s lots of things that could happen.” While nothing is 100% confirmed yet, co-creator Ryan Murphy tells EW that the tour would most likely be scheduled around spring 2010, once shooting of the first season has ended.

OH MY GOODNESS I HAVE TO GO!!!
OH. MY. GOD. I’M GOING!!!
!!!! best thing ever !!!!
This is amazing! I’m so excited for this.
I am fifty years old and I will be there! This is one of the best shows to hit TV in years – original concept, interesting characters and great music.
You’ve just made my day!
I would totally go to this, and pay good money for it (assuming they are actually singing live). And since the show is set in Ohio, they better come here! When they did the Hot Topic tour, they skipped Ohio completely!
I am so there!!!!!
i don’t watch the show, but i’m definitely going to this!! the songs are great!
If you like the songs, you should watch the show, it’s great!
Please, please, please let this happen. I LOVE GLEE! and this would be so much awesomeness.
Is it too early to clear my schedule and buy my tickets?
they should announce ways to see the concert as soon as possible. With MANY tour stops. Maybe doing mini stops at malls again? Keep a close feel with the fans? EW, you need to tell us how to get tickets!
That’s awesome! Except sadly I live in Canada… so unless they decide that there’s enough support here (I hope they do, cause there’s certainly a lot) I probably won’t be seein Glee live too soon. It would be awesome if they did though!
*Yay Glee! Glee kids hooray!*
I would buy anything Glee-related.
I guess I’m the only one who thinks this is pretty ridiculous…not to mention the fact a bit embarrassing
(look, I spent $75 to go to a Glee concert!)
yes, you are the only one who thinks this is ridiculous.
Umm how is it embarrassing? AI had their concert tour, why not Glee? I think most of my friends would be jealous if I said I got to go to a Glee concert. And what are you, a teeny bopper? Because honestly, the older you get, the less you care if it’s “embarrassing” or not. It’s all about what you like. So if you don’t like it, don’t go to it. But don’t ridicule those that would love this.
YESYESYES!!!!
Fabulous!
I’m older, too, but really enjoy this show and the music. These kids are really talented (yes, that is really them doing all the singing) and it would totally be worth the money!
I’m totally going to this tour! I’m still mad at myself for not going to the press tour over the summer even though the cast came to a mall in my state.
I’d be on this in a minute, but living in Calgary, I doubt the concert will make it my way.
This is great! I will be there.
YES YES YES YES YES YES. Glee vocals are amazing, especially Lea Michelle and Amber Riley. Is it me, or is Cory’s voice a little overly exaggerated as being good? It’s not terrible it’s just that he does not compare to Lea at all. I also really wan to hear Tina, Kurt, Emma, Terri, and Sue sing. I thought, even though she does not have the best voice, that Quinn does a great job of performing and she is so much fun to watch. I loved “say a Little Prayer for You” and was sad it wasn’t on iTunes, maybe she could sing it on tour.
O M G!
Much better: O.M.Glee!
I’m totally in love with Matthew “Mr Schue” Morrison!
When will he get the cover, EW?
Sweet news-age! Thanx for the post!
OH. M. GLEE!!!!!!
:O I so would go to one of the shows! I hope it comes to Kansas in the Wichita area!
If this happens I’ll definitely be there.
Considering his inexperience and shyness about singing, I’m guessing Cory Monteith is probably dreading this possibility at the moment, lol.
Is it too early to be in line for tickets?
YEah but will they sing live or lipsing. I have a hard time watching the musical numbers because they are so obviously lipsinging. I mean even for a musical the lipsinging is obvious.
There’s no other way to make the show other than to lipsync. That’s how it’s ALWAYS done in movies and TV. That doesn’t in any way indicate that they would lipsync if performing live.
I understand it has to be lypsync but they do a real poor job of it. They don’t make it believable. I can watch a movie like Grease or even the Buffy musical and they don’t seem like they’re lypsinging. But for some reason this show is painful for me to watch. It may be how they record or mix the vocals or maybe it’s because it is not a musical but they are supposed to be live singing so it’s harder to suspend belief.
But there are musicals that have been performed live. I’m pretty sure that Across The Universe had quite a few numbers performed live. They sometimes will record it live and then go back and overdub if they need to certain parts. WIth a TV schedule it is probably impossible to do this. But features have definitely recorded live singing in the past.
That would be so great!!! I saw Lea Michele in Spring Awakening… love to see the other Glee kids live.
omg best news ever….i am so there…love glee
