ABC's 'Millionaire' rules Sunday, but 'Big Brother,' '60 Minutes' help CBS win the night

ABC and CBS locked in a narrow ratings battle Sunday: The final evening of The Alphabet’s 10th anniversary Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? celebration was the most-watched program, but The Eye took the title for the evening with the one-two punch of 60 Minutes and Big Brother. ABC’s Shark Tank continued to grow its audience.

“Shark Tank” is a less friendly version of the UK series “Dragon’s Den.” The problem I am having with ST is that the sharks (millionaire’s) seem to be taking advantage of the entrepreneurs. They are offering them the money for really high percentage stakes in the companies. I understand that some opportunities are riskier than others, but on Dragon’s Den, the dragons are careful to ask for no more than 50% of the company, even on the riskiest opportunities, because they understand that it’s important to people to have majority share in their business. I watched this woman on ST sell a 70% stake in her company for I believe a $50,000 investment. Are Americans so desperate for money? Are the sharks too greedy? I think ST would be a great show if I didn’t feel so bad for the contestants after the deals!

I am sorry that you don’t like Shark Tank because i think it is one of the best reality shows in a long time. Most reality shows are no fun to me but i have been loving the Tank and yes sometimes it is a cruel show but i say that the inventor is usually asking too much and the guy in the middle is my favorite

Defying Gravity is an excellent show – I wish ABC would promote it as much as they’re promoting Modern Family & Fast Forward (Five commercials each every hour)
