I saw it last night, and yes, David Yates and everyone else left out a lot of key information, but I loved the movie none the less! All the romantic elements were spot on in my opinion, and even though I would have loved a lot more dueling in the very end, I thought it was very exceptional. To anyone who didn't read the books, it would have been a bit confusing to understand everything, but the purpose of this movie was only to set up for the next two. It gave us enough information to understand the next two, and that's what matters most. But the scene when the Burrow gets burned up was completely unnecessary. If it didn't happen in the book, it doesn't matter. But I kind of get why they put it in there-to indicate that Harry is not safe wherever he goes, and he needs to watch his back at all times. All in all, one of my favorites of the Harry Potter movies.

In my opinion this was the worst HP to date. Yes there was some very important informatin left out, but what really gets me is how do they expect to continue on with the story when the biggest and most important piece of information was left out. In the book we are given this piece about the horcruxes, but for those who are not avid readers and who havent yet read the series they will be baffled by it. Plus I found the lack of the final fight scene disappointing. Several other key people paid the price to save Hogwarts and yet that is taken from the movie. I dont understand how the producers of this movie think they will continue to put up big numbers if they continue to leave out so much of the god stuff from the books. This movie was a discredit to JK Rowlings book. It seems to me they have begun to lack the know how to bring about a movie masterpiece without sacrafice as they did in the 1-4. I sincerely hope they wont butcher 7 as they did 5 and 6. Maybe time for a new producer?

@Daniel Hurst: I totally agree. So what if some parts were left out? I think the only thing that they should have left in was more emphasis on the Horcruxes. I think Dumbledore should have told Harry what he thought they were instead of just saying the ring and the diary. But other than that - the movie was great! Yes, weak ending, but you don't ALWAYS have to have a POW in the movies. The book had one, yes, but they're saving that battle for Deathly Hallows. And I won't complain b/c I know it'll be epic :)

I was planning on going to see this movie on Monday, but now Im starting to worry. My enthusiasm has dropped a bit. But I will do as I did with Transformers and proceed ahead and go with my own feeling. I almost didnt see Transformers 2 in the theaters and that would have been a HUGE mistake on my part. That movie was nowhere near as bad as the critics and nay sayers said it was.
I had a GREAT time from beginning to end watching that movie and Im hoping to get the same with HP6. But to hear long time HP fans down this movie is a bit discouraging though. I will have to see for myself.

I thought that the best part of Prince was Tom Felton's (Malfoy) performance. I thought he got it exactly right. as far as the other movies go I thought that the worst was the Order of the Phoenix and the best was the Goblet of Fire.
