Considering all the effort made to model each robot. I am an 3d construction documentation architect, i know the complexity and also difficulty.
I googling around, found this site quite amazing. A giant transformer billboard.

[...] So it had nothing to do with Megan Fox’s breasts, after all. No, now it can be revealed that people flocked to see the stillborn that is Transformers 2 because they were so stressed out about Michael Jackson’s death. And we’re talking major stress, too – $201 million in tickets were sold in the five days following the tragedy alone! [...]

For me, the Transformers have always been about only a few things since i grew up with it as a kid:The relationship between Optimus and Megatron, the relationship between Megatron and Starscream, the relationship between Bumblebee and his Witwicky buddy, and most importantly, gigantic robots kicking the ever living crap out of each other. The first movie delivered all that, the second delivers it times 3.It was fantastic.Everything else doesn't even matter, though i never had a problem with the human characters and never found them annoying or anything. If you go in expecting anything more, well, you're pretty stupid, to be blunt.

For those who haven't seen it yet, all you need to know is that Transformers 2 has more fight scenes, more CG, new autobots, new decepticons and more Megan Fox! Oh yea, not to mention more badass music from Steve Jablonsky!
This is one movie i'm glad I didn't listen to the critics reviews. It is way underrated. Critics hated the movie simply because it concentrated so much on action. What the are they expecting? Drama? Love story? 4th of July is all about saving the world and explosions and good guys fighting bad guys. The critics can go suck it.

This movie was a fantastic summer blockbuster. It definetley grew from the first Transformers movie. Yes, the language was a bit more intense and the sexual comments were added, but that's why movies get rated. The special effects were amazing and of course the score was perfected by Linkin Park. The movie plot was very well thought out and was enjoyable to watch. Michael Bay, you did it again!
I do not believe it is anyone's right to comment on the intelligence of movie goers because one enjoys a movie. So (you know who you are), please comment on the movie as you please, but do not insult other people in the process.

Any creative entity, when producing a visual work, will draw upon reality to make their work believable. A lot of depictions in film become reality. Then, there are filmmakers that know people are going to see their movie no matter what. Thus, Transformers 2. Michael Bay knew we'd all go see this insult, so he made whatever he wanted. I didn't expect Macbeth, but I didn't expect Van Wilder, either. Anyone here that defends this film is a person of very low intelligence. Juvenile toilet-humor, THREE dog-humping scenes, senseless characters, constant sexual references, two jive-talking, racial-stereotype robots, and, most of all, a shot of a robotic monster's testicles (no one here has mentioned that). A complete, saddening disappointment. Some of you are praising this drivel. Don't forget: you're the ones that Bay is thinking of when he says "they'll watch it anyway" and "oh yeah, balls in their face!" By the way, do any of you know how to type a sentence that ISN'T a run-on?
