Steven Spielberg has released this statement about the death of Michael Jackson exclusively to EW:
“Just as there will never be another Fred Astaire or Chuck Berry or Elvis Presley, there will never be anyone comparable to Michael Jackson. His talent, his wonderment and his mystery make him legend.”

Very well said! A legend, a icon. Michael will never forgotten.
I feel like today is like the song “American Pie”
“I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride,
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died.”

In 1977 we lost a Rock Roll Icon Elvis at age 42. Twenty Eight years later we lost a POP Icon in Micheal both of these Icon fought from being alone but had a amazing gift to lift people spirit through their music during some terrible events on American soils. Let remember them as God Angels

I still don’t think this has fully hit me yet. There’s no way Michael Jackson can be dead! It’s too unbelieveable!

Michael Jackson was a lot bigger than life. That is not true if somebody says that he is dead. He is present and will be through his music and songs left behind for all and for good…
MJ rest in peace…
Well said Spielberg, well said.
“there will never be anyone comparable to Michael Jackson.”
What’s he talking about, we saw comparable men almost every week on Dateline for like, 2 years.
Michael you were the king I will always miss your music and your smile R.I.P
Well said Sir Steven. My condolences to MJ’s family. I used to imitate his moves and dance on our school events during my teens ‘coz I love his songs and even now that I’m on my 30’s he’s still my idol. Shocking though but not one of us stay imortal on earth, it’s what we do that counts…May you find your peace and hope God is enjoying your moves up there Mikey.
It’s sloooooooooowly sinking in, Michael Jackson is dead. Despite my trepidations about his personal life, I love his music and was a big fan in the 80s. He spent 45 years of his life in the spotlight, hopefully, now he can rest in peace. Join me and other fans over the next few days at http://www.runarounddiva.com as we celebrate the life of a legend. Let’s send this “bright star” home in the right way.
I cannot say I was a big fan, (but think he was a major talent),though I loved “Off the Wall” and “Thriller”. I wish that Michael had been able to find some peace in his life as his later years seemed mired in one controversey after another. RIP
EVERYBODY go to the website Petitionspot and search Captain EO. Sign the petition to get Captain EO back at Disney Parks!!!
I loved Michael Jackson. I loved the Jackson 5; I loved Ben, Got to Be There, his solo work before Off the Wall; I loved Thriller; I loved Bad. I loved his original nose [he was a beautiful little boy...too bad his father had such a soul-crushing influence on his self esteem] it’s interesting that seemingly Janet & LaToya have had nose jobs as well, as has Jermaine, I think. I am glad MJ’s mother got custody of his children; I don’t know if she divorced Joe Jackson or is still with him…I hope Mrs. Jackson keeps MJ’s kids away from their much-feared grandfather. Whatever happens to his children, I hope Michael can find peace now.
Someone please inform Mr. Spielberg that Mr. Berry is still alive and performing!
We are blessed to have lived during the life of this legend. He bound his soul to his music – and in that regard he will live forever. Bless you, Michael
forget chuck berry fred astaire michael jackson kickeed their arses
Entertainment Tonight has to be the sleaziest show on tv now!!! They’ve been getting more “tabloid”, but they actually have Diane Dimond as their correspondent on MJ. I was appalled!!! I will never watch that show again….truly sickens me.
