'I'm a Celebrity...' loses a million viewers from premiere

Categories: News, TV Biz, TV Ratings

Even with the will-they-leave-or-won’t-they antics of Heidi and Spencer Pratt on Tuesday, NBC’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! lost nearly a million viewers from its Monday premiere. Still, it was a decent night for NBC, which rebounded with Brian Williams’ look inside the Obama White House and the season finale of Law & Order: SVU, which was the evening’s most-watched program. (CBS was the most-watched network with repeats of NCIS and The Mentalist.) Elsewhere on the dial, ABC’s According to Jim (finally!) said farewell to its 4.1 million fans, which is more than the number of people ready to face how life will look on Earth in 2100.

    I would be interested in knowing how many viewers The Hill has…that is the show that the one blond dude who thinks he is the most famous celebrity is on, right?

    I’m a Celebrity looks like it will have trouble just holding onto 3 million viewers by the time the whole thing ends. And CBS’ cop shows are so boring,it’s hard to beleve they pull those kinds of numbers in repeats. The other 3 major networks should be completely embarrassed that they are basically offering nothing of interest on Tuesday nights thus far.

    I watched a couple of celeb episodes in part and quit- bored.I will be glad when something other than reality, news (I mean Tabloidists) & cop shows are whats on.I really like “Fringe”-I can’t wait for the fall shows to begin-it is like CSI meets Xfiles, I loved X Files!One day we won’t have to watch fake-reality TV- I hope.I am a sitcom fan and I really don’t like all this fake stuff unless I know it is real-fake, like EL Raymond & MNI EARL, now gone. Whatever happened to good old cowboys? Western hour? Gunsmoke, Dr Quinn and Bonanza? Little House was good too. So sad when Michael Landon died, so died wholesome TV. Somebody PLEASE help us out of this idiot box and into the future.”Moonlight” was really good and gone in 60 like most shows I decide I like.Are people actually watching all the crap that is thrown into their living rooms?I would like to know …..WHY?”Survivor”- give it up already!Entertaining- NOT!Nothing on.Even movies have gotten so predictable and mostly remakes :{
