'Jon & Kate Plus Eight' ratings remain strong

Categories: News, Reality TV, TV Ratings

While it drew fewer viewers than the show’s behemoth premiere, Jon & Kate Plus Eight’s second installment of the season still helped TLC rank No. 1 on Monday among homes and all key female demographics. The original, back-to-back episodes from 9-10 p.m. attracted 5.5 million and 5.9 million watchers, respectively — good enough to beat competing programs on broadcast and cable among women and persons 18-34. Even the men tuned in to get the latest on the super-sized family from Pennsylvania: The episodes ranked second in key male demos on ad-supported cable, behind WWE Entertainment.

The Gosselins are contracted to appear in a total of 40 episodes this season.
