Nightly winner American Idol, plus NCIS, Dancing With the Stars, and The Mentalist all took ratings hits Tuesday night, as the three-hour season finale of NBC’s The Biggest Loser: Couples added nearly three million viewers to its audience from last week. Fringe, however, grew week-to-week with its season 1 finale — although it’s worth noting that the show bled 4.6 million viewers over the course of the hour.

The biggest loser was on for 3 hours last night. Law and Order SVU was not even on last night??? Maybe that is why it is rated so high.

I thought Biggest Loser was 3hrs last night. That’s a big number for it. Particularly when you consider it’s an NBC show. I don’t think I’ve seen an NBC show score a final average over 10 million viewers since the ER finale. Still, overall ratings are way down from last week. American Idol with just a 21.8 the week before the finale. Wow, how the mighty have fallen!

Helen is a looser! I cant believe she won. Mike and Tara worked hard on excerise and diet and both deserved to win. I am very sure Helen cheated with diet pills and anything she could do. I hope she blows back up to the bimbo white trash she is!
I would love to see Mike’s brother have an opportunity to be on the next Biggest Loser.

i am disappointed that helen won. i felt she was terribly selfish to stay on the ranch and send her daughter home. MOST mothers would not do that!! I was pulling for Tara who totally deserved to win with all the hard work she put in! i also liked mike, although i kinda like that fact that all his dad’s scheming didnt work!
i hate the way they do the finale ~ 3 HOURS OF CLIPS and then literally 5 minutes to show the final 3 people, they need the most air time….as soon as the winner is announced, the show is over….Jerry got more air time than Helen and he didn’t win the BL title…..waste of time…NBC could the whole thing in an hour
I think Helen cheated too! She had to have taken diet pills or laxatives. She is so selfish to stay on the ranch twice instead of making the decision to have her daughter stay on the ranch. She sent her home after the first week for the 30 day deal. Then after Shannon returned to the ranch and they fell below the yellow line she asked everyone to send her daughter home again. So selfish!!! I really wanted Tara to win. Kudos to Jerry for a job well done at home.

Mike and Tara looked so healthy and fit. Helen looked emaciated and obviously went to extreme measures to get that extremely thin so quick.
I liked the wholesome Kristen. Although she looks great I don’t like that she’s gone Hollywood. I wonder if this will affect her marriage – after all her husband married her when she was chubby.
I thought Helen looked emaciated. I personally like the way the “loosers” looked – Aubrey et al – they looked more wholesome.
