Its season is close to wrapping up but Dancing With the Stars is still going strong in the ratings race. ABC’s competition program easily won Monday night, according to preliminary overnight ratings, with a two-hour episode that drew 18.3 million viewers. Over on Fox, medical drama House ended its season with a solid 12.3 million pairs of eyes. Meanwhile, The CW’s much hyped Gossip Girl flashback episode didn’t do much in terms of ratings, with a typical 2.3 million. And NBC’s two-hour season finale of Medium drew an okay 6.8 million viewers.

Ratings across the board seem lower. I wonder if any of it can be attributed to movie attendance? Star Trek took in more money Monday ( approx. 8 million)than any other movie took in on Sunday.
I just hope ABC doesn’t get skittish and off Castle, it’s a million times better than godawful “CSI: David Caruso” on CBS.
Umm, last night was not the season finale of Medium. It wasn’t a 2hr episode either, rather 2 completely seperate episodes, and a promo for more next week.
Castle’s a flash in the pan; who’d notice if it was gone.
Viewers have been fewer and fewer in recent years. When you consider previous landmark shows brought in 60-65 million, these figures pale. Even if spread thinner with multiple choices, viewership is still way down.
Castle will become one of ABC’s top shows next season-just wait and see!!!
Castle last night was FANTASTIC!! I really hope they announce they’re going to renew it soon, I couldn’t bear not knowing the outcome of that final conversation…
