My only comment is take very good care of your own children!! My partner was put up for adoption when he was seven years old, and then put through two ill-prepared foster families before being adopted at 10 by an abusive family. His whole idea of family is so bungled I worry about him ever being the best father he can be for our toddler. He just doesn’t quite ‘get it’ because he was never treated well. Take good care of your own babies and love them with your whole heart!

First of all, who cares how or why Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick had the twins. As a person who’s husband can not concieve I understand all the options of having a child. We will hopefuly be able to use donor sperm, but we have also looked in to adoption. Not all adopted kids out there are a mess. There are a ton of children up for adoption who just want to be loved. Furthermore, if they wanted to use a surrogate the so be it. Why is it so wrong that they wanted to have their own biological children? If that were my only option to have a child biologically then I would do it in a heartbeat. People can call me selfish by wanting to physically being able to experience having a child of my own with a donor. For someone with out a ton of money, it is also one of the cheapest routes. I am happy for the Brodericks.

How can anyone judge someone who wants to hava a child, not matter how they acheive it. I know for me and my husband adopting our daughter has been the GREATEST GIFT. I have alway wanted to be a mom and we tried lots of medical options. Adoption is a wonderful thing.

Go Melissa!! Well said. You took the words right out of my mouth regarding the post that Liza wrote about it not being her fault there are so many uncared for children needing families. Liza, did it ever occur to you that the ONLY reason you have the ability to make such a selfish, vile comment is because you clearly had parents that loved and cared for you? People that think like you, always only thinking of themselves and how “its not MY fault that…blah blah blah” are the people that make society so very depressing. Its people like you who are the cowards of our nation, who spews the garbage they do, as Im sure you have a bunch of other opinions for which you wouldn’t lift a finger to change as “its not YOUR fault”…….yeah….thank GOODNESS you would never adopt. I’ll sleep better knowing there is one less of you vile, selfish, hideous women out there who won’t be subjecting a child, adopted or otherwise, to their selfish psyhosis. Lastly, the beatiful thing about people like you is that they will ALWAYS end up miserable, as Im sure you already are. Becuase the only way to be happy is to give yourself away to others. When you are the center of your world, you will have guaranteed misery. Period.

Surrogate basically means a substitute. The surrogate mother does the carrying of the baby for another woman. So surrogacy is NOT adobtion. True, tese people might be egoistic but you should get your vocab right you douche.

Parker is not obliged to tell us if she is the biological mother or not. She wanted to extend her family good for her. If the laws in America are so relaxed about birth and the rest. I believe babies became a fashion accessory the last 3-4 years.
