It was Cornwells personal choice. Go ahead an insult the woman who made Kay Scarpetta. With her having her hand in the film it will be great just like all 15 of the books.

Just love the Scarpetta novels, but Angelina Jolie is definitely the wrong choice for this role. Kristin scott Thomas, holly Hunter, Jodie Foster, Joely Richardson are far better options. Or the blonde actress from csi miami.

I always pictured Kay looking like Meg Ryan . . . I think because I see a resemblance between Meg and Patricia Cornwell.

Cate Blanchett was always who I imagined. Jolie is all wrong for this project. Also- why not follow the books?
This is one project I have hoped would be done right, but it looks as though Hollywood STILL can’t read a book and pitchmen can’t think outside the box.
Linney is also a great choice, but lacks star power, Blanchett has enough big ticket flicks under her belt to beckon backers for the film.

Look like producers want Angelina and brad services, they know how popular this couple are, they can witness how appealing they are to the crowd in every red carpet they attended, Internationally they are well love by screaming fans, makes you wonder what magnetism they have. all you can say is WOW!..

A good writer knows best who can play in their character created. And a good actors can play any rules, She 100% can do justice to a rule and I seen her very good, Hope she will accept it, since she study all movie offer to her, If Brad is free, she can work with them,why not. She had her first priority family first, beside both have the same ways, they bring the whole family at work, so they can be together, in one place. Right attitude. They are smart,that’s how a family should be. Saw her in taking lives and is so great in her rule. Best Wishes to this beautiful family. More Power too.

i like jolie but reading the books there is an actual description of scarpetta in one of them short ,blonde and not thin (i can’t remember the actual wording) none of which describe jolie. however i am interested in seeing this to see how they do it
