Ratings: 'American Idol' edges out CBS mainstays on Tuesday

Categories: TV Biz, TV Ratings

Total viewership for last night’s American Idol performance show was down 7 percent from last Tuesday and down 16 percent from performance night’s special Wednesday airing two weeks ago, but Fox still pulled out a narrow win over CBS. The second episode of ABC’s new romance series Cupid lost 18 percent of last week’s premiere viewership — a bit of a bigger drop than anticipated (networks expect around 10-15 percent drop from the first outing).

Loving Cupid. I was a fan or the original too. I hope they give it a chance.

The show Cupid is growing on me. I enjoyed this week’s episode more than last week. My biggest hang up is that the main character Trevor (Bobby Cannavale) comes across as very creepy due to the way that he looks and acts. He sort of looks and acts like the womanizer/creep Joey on Friends. This is a problem since the main character is supposed to be the trusted match-maker.

What is with people??? Cupid is so refreshing and funny.. I loved it! I have a horrible feeling that it’s going to go the way of PD and DSM if people don’t start catching what a great show this is!!!

Glad to see NCIS up there!

So glad Reaper got one of its best ratings this season. 2.3 million! Not bad for the CW’s standards. PLEASE GIVE IT A 3rd SEASON!!!

Why in the hell do they put out-dated crap like Charlie Brown on TV, even for holidays. The ratings just keep getting lower and lower. Just END it, already.

Meanwhile, the (((utter failure))) known as ‘90210′ (TheCW) has lost MORE than HALF it’s audience. It started out w/ 5 mill, went down to 2.5 mill by the end of January. Now it’s down to 2 mill. And they sincerely think it’s a GOOD idea to have an unnecessary [2.0] spin-off to an already unnecessary [2.0] show? Idiots. Idiots also watch this show… though in smaller numbers.

Reaper, yes! Some of us haven’t given up on hoping for a Season 3. Campaigns! Series Finale was nice enough to write up a Campaign article (with a cool button no less), and they started a petition. It’s up to 9 pages already. It would be nice if we could start getting the word out about it.
