Lisa Rinna hit the streets to land a gig on The CW’s Melrose Place remake. The ’90s sensation’s Taylor McBride-turned-Dancing With the Stars hoofer donned a sandwich board on March 18 and marched on the real Melrose Pl. asking folks to “honk” for her cause. She stresses it was all in jest for pal Ross Mathews’ web series on TheInsider.com (no affiliation!) — but says the sentiment behind it is real. “Would I love to see Taylor McBride on this show? Of course!” she says. “What’s so wrong with wanting to go back to a show you loved?” She hasn’t heard from producers (and they declined to comment), but she has plot points ready in case: “I left the show pregnant, but I can’t remember if it was Michael’s or Peter’s baby,” she says. [Ed. note: It was Michael's.] “But you could age that baby up and add five years, and you have a teenager. Or maybe I come back to run the apartment complex. Or maybe I open my own ballroom dance studio.”

Well she was on the show after it had long before jumped the shark. I don’t know if she should be on the show but maybe her lips could play the part of the life preservers at the pool in the courtyard?
If the CW wants this idea to work they need Heather Locklear, but given she’s not interested, they desperately need someone from the original cast.

To be honest, the only people from the original that might help ratings are either Amanda, or Billy/Allison. Would LOVE it if they brought Allison back, married to a mystery guy who later turned out to be Billy….
I agree with Buffy Freak (I also love BTVS but I digress). Taylor McBride was on MP when it started to get overcrowded & storylines a tad boring but I still kept watching. I just do not understand why they need to redo Melrose Place. It was good campy fun in the 90s before DVRs and no one was allowed to call you when the show was on the air.

OMG I forgot all about the Hunter Tylo fiasco from the 90’s!! LOL!! That would be funny to put her on there now.
I say bring Lisa Rinna back as Taylor (provided she lays off the plastic surgery/injections, and acts more her age), and bring Robert Kelker-Kelly out of obscurity to play her love interest. These 2 made quite the pairing on DAYS, and MP could play up some of that soap history/chemistry for instant ratings!
