Shame on ABC! I’ll bet my last dime their ratings for The Bachelor won’t be so high ever again. This viewer is OUT!

Been a viewer since first season, and I’ve learned that these rarely work out. Still, this is the last season, and I am beginning tonight, not interested in an update on this couple. No more for me. I am actually ashamed I watched last night, but I really didn’t believe they would go that far.
I am completely ashamed of myself for watching this. Abc originally hooked me because Jason seemed like a nice guy but this finale was disgusting. I will NEVER watch The Bachelor or Bachelorette again.
Is this guy smarmy or what? The adults all knew what they signed up for, but where would a decent, upstanding Dad of a three year old go to find a life-long parter? Why, a cheesy reality show, of course! That poor kid, with a father like that! I hope he and fellow jerk Molly will be miserable together. Melissa is better off without him.
So that’s life! Would it have been more nobel for him to go thru with the marriage, knowing he had feelings for another … later get a divorce or just have an affair? How about what that little boy would go thru.
heroes showing that it still really really sucks!
What’s the big deal? Yeah he broke Melissa’s heart, but it was a hard decision to make and he was happy with her, but then things changed. He didn’t want to live life with regrets. Just a shame he didn’t realize it earlier. I honestly really don’t understand why people are getting this furious with the show and Jason. I am happy for him and Molly.
And as for Melissa.. things happen. People break up in much worse situations, such as being with someone for over 6 months (or however long they were with each other for) She will find someone else and move on. That’s life.
Jason said in one of his interviews that once the cameras weren’t rolling, the chemisty changed. How do we know that Melissa didn’t turn out to be a real psycho after the cameras went off? Maybe he’s just protecting her and taking the heat himself?!?!?! Did anyone pull their head out from the sand long enough to ponder that? Obviously not!
How can you fall for it all?
I lost total respect fot the show… jason is an ass hole, I will never watch this show again!!!!!
Thank you, Sarah Schwartz, I totally agree.
OMG Has anyone ever made a mistake and feel for 2 people????? COME ON people!!! We saw how he felt when Molly left in the limo. It was if he realized then that he made a mistake and that she took a part of him with her. Its MUCH better now than if her would have married poor Melissa. I feel bad for Melissa but love is a REAL emotion and what was happening was real. He went on there for find love. Lets give him some credit for at least trying to making it work and then finally being honest with Melissa, Molly and most of all himself. I say Good Luck Jason!!!!
Jason is the most bastardly character I feel I have ever viewed. If he wanted to break up with Melissa then ok, but to do it on National television and literally 5 minutes later start something with Molly? Should abc really be advocating this behavior? I think not. Maybe he should have chosen neither of them, he’s such a lying sack of crap, and I am eternally disappointed in the show, and in Jason. And for Molly, she’s just dumb. Why would you ever choose to trust someone who did something like that? I know I wouldn’t. But maybe she deserves it.
Oh, hell, come on, Mom! Can’t you see how produced that was? Stop being so dumb! And Wannalala, I agree with your observations of Jason, but, come on, abc not only advocated it, but had a HUGE hand in creating it! This show is impeccably produced, and this smarmy, cheesy jerk dad Jason went right along with it! Come on, people, get with the program!
For those of you who think dating more than one person can help create a trusting and lasting relationship…take a look at the history of the show.
ABC is classless….I will never watch this show again and Jason is the biggest looser of all, same goes for Molly. How did this go?….she agreed to see him on the opposite weekends he wasn’t with his fiancee Melissa?? Great group of people over there at ABC….
Like Jason is the only man on this earth that did what he did. There’s so many Jason’s and Molly’s out there that did the same thing. Come on now
The only reality is, ABC is calling the shots and Jason followed their script. I guess falling for Molly early makes for boring TV. This little twist earned them some short term gain at the expense of loyal viewers. What ever happened to the story book ending?
Do you think the producers scripted the entire show – including the shocking ending?

Melissa should have gotten to keep that ring……..she sure earned it dealing with that dumb a**
And jASSon was upset with DeAnna for letting him actually propose? and then truning him down? ha! He proposed knowing he didn’t have to and then threw Melissa to the side to take up with Molly again and he doesn’t understand how people could view him as a pig? I wish him as much Joy as he’s obviously brought into Melissa’s life. I just hope MOlly realises what a loser he is before she actually marries him. Thank God Steph and Jillian were let go early. I bet his parents are really proud of him. I’d be mortified if my son acted this way on National TV. You know, for those of you saying he had a right to change his mind, yes he did. But did he really have to start up with Molly not 5 minutes after breaking his engagement with Melissa? And to kiss her … even the most die hard Jason fans must admit that was rubbing salt into a raw wound. He’s a creep and ABC is pathetic for requiring him to breaking his engagement on air “according to him it was in his contract”. What ever!
Look, some people need to get a life – this is a reality show, everyone, Meliissa included, knew that kissing in bikinis, being photographed in bed, it’s all part of it – this didn’t have to be scripted, this is just people being who they are, people. Is Jason a jerk, is Melissa wonderful, is Molly awful – nope, they are just fodder for those of us who are driven to watch reality TV. Why, because we love getting caught up in the “like me” humanness of it all – like a giant vacuum cleaner, we loved getting sucked up in it all. Props to Chris for MCing the whole carnival thing – and he’s right on his blog, quit skewering these people as if a – you really knew them, you don’t; b – you’re really taking all this way way too seriously. Melissa will find love and frankly, I hope that Jason and Molly does as well. Say goodnight, Gracie
Team Melissa right here! She is way better off with out that ass hole. Poor Tye with a father like that.Melissa was the only hope Tye had for at least one decent parent!..Molly your desperate.looks fade…
what a douchebag – I am outraged – I will never ever ever watch this rubbish AGAIN!!
17.5 million viewers at 10pm – WOW!
what a jerk!! i felt SICK inside when he brought Melissa on national tv to humiliate her like that! i never watch the bachelor and i never will again!
Melissa, if you possibly read this, Molly doesn’t hold a candle to you. Molly reminds me of a greasy headed, bulgy eyed vampire because of the teeth on the sides that come down and what a mouth. Not even on the final day did she do away with that messy ponytail, at least is wasn’t greasy for a change. Her dress looked like she was going to the prom, very dated, and then Jason says, “You look beautiful.” What a joke, nothing beautiful about her and check out that posture. Melissa, my point here is, you are everything that Molly will never be and you are so much better even though it doesn’t feel that way now. He’s not what you thought him to be, I was fooled too. For him to do what he did to you on TV makes him the most selfish and conceited SOB. Molly always looked dirty and trashy to me, she’s old fashion. Ty might be happy because when he goes to her parents house they can all where their rediculous hats and bring in another sofa because they all will have to have a corner.
