'Slumdog Millionaire' kids will hit the books after the Oscars

Quick reality check: The Slumdog Millionaire kids just swung by, and when I asked what they were working on next, they said “exams,” which start as soon as they get back. And then there’s Misty Upham, the young actress from Frozen River. She works at a dry cleaner, and she got written up this weekend because nobody can cover for her– and she’s gotta work a double shift tomorrow. $150,000 dress today, double shift tomorrow? That’s showbiz, NOT show-fun. –Whitney Pastorek

Heath Ledger was missed on the in the memoriam section of the Oscars tonight.Ledger died in January 2008
