Oscars: Opening-number prop fetches $20,000 at Elton John party auction

That box that Academy Awards host Hugh Jackman sang on during the Milk portion of his opening number? It just sold for a whopping $20,000 at Elton John’s exclusive Oscar party. Someone also paid $60,000 to be Sir Elton’s date to the Vanity Fair party tonight. –Dave Karger
