It’s a documentary bottleneck in front of the EW carpet spot, with Kimberly Rivers Roberts from Trouble the Water and Man On Wire director James Marsh, next to his tightroping star, Phillipe Petit, who is already scoping the Kodak skies for a potential “red velvet rope” walk. Marsh has spent the year between Man on Wire’s debut at last year’s Sundance and its win for best doc at yesterday’s Indie Spirits working on a dramatic film for the UK’s Channel 4 about the Yorkshire Ripper, who slaughtered 13 women. He says it’s a film about “paranoia and fear”– though presumably of a different sort cultivated by a walk through the sky between the twin towers. –Whitney Pastorek
