If Nadya Suleman — a.k.a. the infamous “Octomom” of California — gets her own reality show, it won’t be on TLC, the home to Jon and Kate Plus 8. “TLC is not pursuing any program at this time with Nadya Suleman,” says the network’s president, Eileen O’Neill. “We wish the family well.”
After giving birth to eight babies in January, the 33-year-old single and unemployed mother began fielding multiple offers to star in her own reality series, appear in a film documentary, or write her own book (she has six other children, all under the age of 7). Her then-publicist Michael Furtney said the offers were “very serious.” Since then, Furtney and his wife-partner Joann Killeen have dropped Suleman as a client after receiving threatening calls and e-mails. The duo, who had been representing Suleman for free, created a website that sought donations for the mother and her children.
After the birth of the babies, TLC acknowledged that several of its affiliated production companies began reaching out to Suleman to discuss a possible reality show. At the same time, TLC viewers — using the network’s website as a sounding board — threatened to boycott any new show that would feature Suleman and her brood.

I’m starting to feel bad for her
She may not mentally be all there, but neither are many people. Can we at least not judge this woman so harshly? Its not going to be an easy road ahead for her and these babies no matter what. I hope they will all be ok… praying for all of their well being…
I think that someone needs to intervene with all the children, until she can provide for them. It is one thing to end up on welfare due to lifes circustances i.e. loss of job, divorce, etc., but to become pregnant in that manner and then expect taxpayers to foot her bills for all 14 children, is at the very least stupid. This woman has handicapped children, she lives off their SSI and now is having on purpose 8 more children, which may have even worse handicaps due to their premature birth, which she knew would happen. No I do not think it is right and I think that the doctor who impregnanted her should lose his medical license. I think that a case worker should be put in charge of this family and she should have to repay the state for the medical bills of the octuplets she gave birth to.

Wow, an actual note of sanity in this disgusting story. Congratulations to all who wrote into TLC and voiced their outrage. This woman and her doctor are a disgrace and I fear what her litter will eventually grow up to become.
FYI, Muzzammil Hassan is no longer married. I think his wife lost her head over how Muslims are stereotyped or something. Anyway, he owns a TV station, she likes TV, he is being villified, so is she, neither are married, what’s not to love?

I agree with the poster who said that the fertility doctor should have his license pulled. It was simply irresponsible for him to implant ANY embryo into her knowing how many kids she already had. I also agree that she is just using the system, she says she doesn’t receive welfare? Then what does she call getting free government assistance without obligation to repay? Taxpayers are outraged and rightly so! They are footing the bill for all of this. She and the doctor responsible should be made to repay every cent spent on the birth of those octuplets. I’ve seen the pictures of Nadya’s place on TV, it’s deplorable and not fair to ANY of these kids. Where is CPS in all of this? Usually they are quick to remove children from the home if they find conditions unsuitable. I would compare Nadya Suleman to one of those animal horders you see on the show animal cops, people that have 30 or more cats because they think they are helping them. This woman needs some serious treatment!
Some people have compared her to Angelina Jolie. There is a huge difference though. Angelina Jolie can actually AFFORD having as many kids as she does. This Suleman woman doesn’t even have her own place, she lives with her mom from what I’ve heard. Her own mother is upset with her. If I was her mom I would be peeved too. Those kids should be growing up in a healthy environment, already they have 6 children crammed into a place that is too small and now there will be 8 more? I agree, child protective services needs to step in and make sure these children are properly taken care of. The mom is nothing more than a leech, she uses the disability payments she receives for some of her children to live off, that money should go to those children not her.

here in ontario everyone I know is blown away by the total neglect taken by Nadya and her doctor….neglect in the respect that a single mother of 6 now 14 will never be able to meet all the needs of these poor children…my heart goes out to these innocent little angels who were brought into the world by technology.why…why did it take so long to be made public….major coverup on both parties behalf…mom was looking for fame and fortune and we as the public are giving that to her.Raising healthy,structured children takes 2 working parents…we all know your tax dollars will be paying and Nadya needs to wake up from her fantasy and adopt those unfortunate babies to a home where they will get the attention and support they need….disgraceful is what I say.
TLC is cowardly. Those 8 babies and their 6 siblings need food, shelter and clothing. Sign their Mom to an exclusive contract, pay her and then show it all to us. The good, the bad and the Ugly. I would rather see the Suleman Clan than the Duggar Family. There is something wrong with a woman who feels the need to have a baby when the one she already has is barely 3 months old. I know, the Duggars can afford the kids, but they can afford more now thanks to TLC. I hope somebody helps the woman and her kids. I don’t think she is a danger to them, she seems to love em, she just can’t afford em.
I’m starting to feel sorry for Nadya also. I think she just wanted babies and for people to threaten her life it’s crazy. She did not do this alone, the doctor should be held accountable. Also I question the fact that The BORING DUGGARS can really afford their child until now, has anyone every really looked into their past finances???????
