Widespread Internet chatter that Madonna may participate in some capacity in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, may be only partly true, a source close to the production tells EW. Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the movie series, has no plans to cast the pop star and sometime actor in New Moon. However, because Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, is a producer on the project, there is some talk of her providing songs for the sequel. Still, no deals have been made yet, and the plans haven’t progressed beyond the that’d be cool stage. (Reporting by Christine Spines)

I don’t think Twilight fans, tweens or not, want Jonas Brothers/HSM people/even Madonna. Of course Madonna is an amazing performer and entertainer, but not unless she pulls out some goodies circa “Ray of Light” will the Twilight crowd be happy with her addition on the soundtrack. I think that fans are freaking out that Summit is willing to throw a piece of the Twilight pie to anyone on the A, B, or even C list. Let’s just hope that Chris Weitz pulls it all together or Summit will probably be burned to the ground by a million fangirls.
You seem to be implying that Madonna has no talent. If you don’t like Twilight then stop reading about it. Personally, I think that having Madonna on the soundtrack might prove to be very interesting.

If they are going to put a main stream artist on the movie then they should so put KELLY CLARKSON…she is a huge fan of the books and movie and CAN ACTUALLY SING…and love the dark stuff….this can actually throw her over to the dark side for good!!! I LOVE HER DARK SIDE…
Please do not put Madonna’s music on the New Moon sound track. It wouldn’t sound right at all. The mix of artists was perfect for first soundtrack, please don’t make it too commercial.
