Multiple sources have confirmed to EW that representatives of Chris Brown are on the lookout for a crisis-management expert to help the pop star rehabilitate his image in light of his Feb. 8 arrest on felony battery charges. Many news organizations have reported that Brown argued with his girlfriend, Rihanna, after a pre-Grammy party, which resulted in both singers canceling their Grammy appearances. The singer and sometime actor turned himself into police on Feb. 8 and was quickly released on $50,000 bond.
Among the experts who have been recommended to Brown’s people were Alan Nierob, the veteran Hollywood publicist who advised Mel Gibson in 2006 after he spewed anti-Semitic comments at an arresting officer during a drunk-driving incident; and Howard Bragman, who repped Isaiah Washington in 2007 after Washington used an antigay slur to refer to costar T.R. Knight on the set of Grey’s Anatomy. EW has confirmed that neither Nierob nor Bragman has been hired — for now.
Meanwhile, Bragman (author of the book Where’s My Fifteen Minutes?) already has a lot to say about Brown’s arrest. Speaking to EW earlier this week, Bragman said Brown should prepare himself for months — even years — of intense scrutiny. The fallout from Brown’s arrest was swift: Wrigley suspended his Doublemint gum ad from airing on TV, the Milk Mustache campaign issued a statement that it was “taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously” (though Brown’s ad was already scheduled to end its run this week), and Sesame Street pulled a 2007 episode guest-starring Brown from all future airings. Meanwhile, Rihanna postponed a Feb. 13 concert scheduled in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“What he is accused of doing is a bad thing -– and I’m talking about that in the court of public opinion,” Bragman said. “The only thing probably worse is murder, rape, and hurting an animal. This isn’t a bong hit like Michael Phelps, which everybody has done. This is serious. What he’s got going for him is that he’s young, talented, likable, and we forgive people. You can go home again, but it takes time. It’s not something you can turn around overnight. He has to strap himself in and be ready for a long ride. It’s not a comfortable ride.”

Well I’m done with him and only because he wasn’t that talented to begin with. I liked his songs ” Forever” , “With You”, and “No Air” but not because of his singing voice but because the songs were catchy. If he had the musical talent of R. Kelly I would be able to look past his misdeeds. No matter how bad R. Kelly gets, there is no denying he is an awesome singer.
I will always love Chris Brown. He is amazingly talented and a hero of mine for many personal reasons. I met him and he changed my life…he’s an amazing person, so sweet and full of life.
He may be guilty, but theres just as much of a chance that he’s innocent. If he is innocent, which I dearly hope is the case, then alot of people are going to have ALOT of apologizing to do! If he is guilty…well it often takes two to tango…and guaranteed Rihanna is not innocent in all of this. You don’t give what you can’t take. Fair enough if the various reports I’ve read are true, nobody deserves that, but everyone makes mistakes, and people ned to remember that Chris is a human being, and still very young at that…topped off with the fact that his whole life is under extreme pressure because of his fame. Give the boy a chance to share his side of the story before passing judgment. Many people are going to be very surprised with the outcome. I for one have ultimate faith in him and back him!
WE BELIEVE IN BREEZY!!!!
Keep ur head up huni, life is full of ups and downs, people make mistakes, people forgive mistakes.
Innocent until proven guilty is what I say. I will not believe it until I hear it from Chris Brown’s own mouth.
You have my support!
The young, black male still held guilty until proven otherwise.
Chris Brown committed a felony and should go to jail. You don’t beat up women or anyone else.
Zakiya, like yourself, I have spent time with Chris – and a good amount at that… and have to admit, he is a nice guy, talented and caring … however, what he is accused of, and it seems the evidence is pretty strong against him, is serious. There is no reason, at all, to defend his actions, unless (and I greatly doubt it) Rihanna had a weapon aimed at him. Any man who hits a woman is a coward, any man who severely injures a woman, like he has, deserves to serve prison time and should require years of service to learn his lesson. Chris did make a mistake, but this is not a speeding ticket – this is deadly assault on a woman – a woman he dated, at that (as if it matters). I find it hard to believe that he comes back from this, professionally. Let me add, I have had the benefit of getting to know Rihanna over the last 2 years, and she is incredible. Even if she was not, no woman deserves this – he could have walked away … driven away or called a cab.
I’m still holding out hope that Chris and Rihanna will do a joint press conference aknowledging their bad behavior (I’m assuming Rihanna got in some blows of her own), apologizing to their fans and committing to anger management classes. I really don’t like the fact that Chris is taking the heat alone. Hopefully they can forgive one another and move on from this.
wow o wow is all i have to say
chris brown the next bobby brown
figures, he is black you know…… they are all wife beaters.
A real man would never hit a “woman” and especially Rhianna he must have thought he was “Superhuman” instead he should have gave her a “Kiss Kiss”. Wrong is Wrong no matter how it may look, if he was charged with a felony he did something to someone who didn’t deserve it regardless if “Poppin” was playing on the radio. Guess the “Damage” is done and he will “Say Goodbye” to what could have been a promising carrer this will “Take you Down” a notch. It all looks “Picture Perfect” behind closed doors, see “Stuntin Is a Habit” most should try to stop. “Heart Ain’t a Brain” definitely proved right here cuase if he was using his brain..he would have thought with his Heart.
“New York” (from the reality show) on the other hand would be a different stroy.
I find it a little unbelievable that people consider injuring an animal worse than severely beating your girlfriend. But I guess based on a lot of these comments, maybe I’m wrong
snake is racist
I hope he goes to jail for VERY a long time and is forced to give every dime he has ever earned to battered women’s shelters around the country. What a loser!
they broke up 2 weeks ago. and she slapped him in the face and through his car keys out of his car. he couldn’t find them so he beat her up. got her unconcious. then left the scene..

Chris Brown can go F himself. “Rehabilitate his image??” Are you KIDDING me? THIS is what’s important? Maybe he should think about rehabilitating his tendencies toward violence and violent thoughts. Maybe he should think about rehabilitating his soul, by owning up to what he did (“allegedly,” but come on) and making all the apologies he can to Rihanna.
Snake – LOL…You are probably a piece of white trash that saw your trailor park mama get beat all the time. Either that or you saw her getting repeatedly boned by big d#*k willy.
I can’t believe people say Chris Brown has talent. Chris Brown–and Rhianna for that matter–have good marketing and that’s it. You want to hear good singers, listen to Philip Bailey from Earth Wind and Fire, or Sugarfoot from the Ohio Players. That’s music, not the same lame shiznit about “I need your body”, or “let me love you forever, tonight.” That said, what Chris Brown did was bad, and unfortunately, it was learned behavior, both from his stepdad and the way young Black men in his position think of women. I think Rhianna was out of place for making the first blow. I’m not blaming her, but hey, you don’t antagonize a hungry dog with raw meat, ya dig. But what’s the point, she’ll go back to him, they’ll issue a joint statement about them “working through” their problems, he’ll do a free concerts, get some counceling, talk to other young boys about respecting women telling them, “never, ever put your hands on a woman,” and then all will be well because it will end well.
Are you people for real? I liked him fine as a singer/dancer but if he’s guilty there is NO justification for assaulting his girlfriend. She may have been provoking, bitchy, whatever but at this point she has absolutely nothing to apologize for. He does. What is the matter with people, it’s 2008 not 1950.

yall are a bunch of nieve kids… yall dont even no the whole story yall just no wat yall heard….andthat person who said it was b/c she took his keys…..honey you got it all wrong so all yall lil children need to get it right
I JUST HAVE TO SAY THAT IT’S UP TO THEM HOW THEY RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. THIS IS PERSONAL AND SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH EITHER OF THEIR CARRERS.
the name says it all
This is what i think he deserves what hes getting because if he wasnt a singer or dancer and everything everyone will want him lock up and hes not above everyone he was born equally like everyone no one is above anybody
Any person that hits another person, man or women, should be punished. It does not matter who said what, who took who’s keys away, etc. No one deserves to be hit. Period.
Hey Guys, please give Chris a break. We were 20 years old at some time in our lives. He is only human. Rhianna
is capable of provoking the guy and this too shall pass. Chris is hurting more she is. Her friend Jayz needs to step back and grow up rather than passing his thug remarks about Chris. We willalways love Chris and Rhoianna will get over it. Peaches
I think there is more to the story then when all know. I am so tired of the speculation. Bottom line-we do not know what happened in that car. Only Chris and Rihanna know. I pray they both find healing and move on with their awesome careers.
I dont blame him, it happens, sometimes chicks get out of line and you need to put them in their place. Good luck Chris, ive been there myself and it is not a pretty thing, good thing you got good lawyers because I did not. Do yourself a favor and apologize to her and move on with your life, no chick is worth it, but sometimes life gets in the way, I slapped my fiance after I caught her cheating with four different guys, now people call me a bad person for it but who is worse here, ive been punched plenty of times, but having my heart broke was worse. like I say sometimes they just have it coming and if there is any truth the to herpes rumor than I would say she sure did.
Chris “Bobby Brown Jr.” Brown!!!!!
