Update: Chris Brown turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department for questioning in his alleged role in a felony battery that took place in a car early Sunday morning. He has been released on $50,000 bail and given a March 5 court date. On Monday morning, TMZ reported that the crime report lists the alleged victim’s name as Robyn Fenty: Rihanna’s real name. EW first broke the story after hearing that the duo was involved in a car accident.
Rihanna and Chris Brown have scratched their performances in tonight’s Grammy Awards after being involved in a car accident, according to sources backstage.
Details are sketchy, but Rihanna’s publicist issued a statement late this afternoon saying that the Grammy-winning pop singer was "well" and thanked fans for their concern and support.
Legendary R&B performer Al Green has been added to the roster of tonight’s perfomers to fill out the bill.
Rihanna is nominated in three categories this year, including Best Dance Recording for "Disturbia"; Brown received two nominations, including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "Take You Down."

Between what I read at the people.com link, and what I read here .. sounds like the car accident IS the ‘alleged domestic violence incident’ that seemingly took place outside of Chris’s car. And since he was with Rihanna EARLIER in the evening at a party, it wouldn’t be impossible for her to be the unnamed female victim. (It COULD be another female, but *shrug* dots are connecting in my mind and coming up with it likely having been Rihanna) … again, everything is alleged (well, police did say that Chris Brown IS subject to arrest ..)
If the woman was not Rihanna, then why would she cancel her appearance?
I just read another report that says Rihanna sustained bruises to the face from a car accident. Why would you say that if it’s completely obvious that the assault thing is going to break?

every1 give the guy some respect. he hasnt been charged wit anything, and all the media are just tryin 2 make it out like chris hit Ri. Every1 who knows Chris, knows he is not the type of person who would ever hit a woman. firstly, who said Rihanna had bruises? she probably wasnt at the grammys becuase shes supporting her man, and secondly, Chris wasnt at the scene and was seen with Rihanna hours before and after the event, so its probably some girl, just out looking to get some money off a well known celeb.
