and by the way, if the fans on this site is as passionate about this series as they claim to be, a little thing like vanessa wouldn't stop you guys from watching the movie, period. its seems that the "fans" on this site all have a certain way Leah should look, but let me remind everyone that everyone has a different way of thinking. Some says she'd be good, others say she wouldn't. so, wouldn't it be better to just cool it with all the vulgar comments about vanessa? and also, for the record, im not a vanessa fan. i just dont feel that it's fair to bash on someone so badly without even giving them a chance.

Vanessa definitely has the "Sweet" look to her, I'll give you guys that. but come on, stereotyping? yes, she's played goody goody roles on Disney, but if Jessica Biel can go from a preacher's daughter's role to the absolutely hot roles that she is acting in now (a definite change in her acting roles), i believe Vanessa can also. and besides, I'm pretty sure the people that are hiring for the cast to continue the saga aren't stupid. they wouldn't hire her if they didn't think she had it in her to portray Leah. I'm sure they know what they're doing.

I would just like to say that I love her as an actress. but I agree with almost everyone else that has set an input. She is a great disney actress but im sorry to say that thats pretty much as far as shes gonna go. Seeing twilight and getting to know the characters is what makes you close to them. But if you already know the actors then you cant get into the movie as much. You already see them for what they've already done, like Dakota Fanning. I see her as a little girl like in uptown girls. I think Vanessa Hudgens would be horrible for the Twilight movies. She does not fit the part at all, especially the personality of Leah Clearwater. She's too girly and chirpy, something that is not Leah Clearwater. Not only that, but she doesn't even look the part. Everyone (werewolves) are supposed to be from the reservation and she does not look like she just came off of an Indian reservation. I think the perfect girl would be Kristin Kreuk (Smallville). Look her up-she looks the part and has that look about her to fit Leah Clearwater.

Casting Vanessa Hudgens (Disney Star)
would bring shame towards The Sequal for Twilight.
Even though Vanessa Hudgens is supposable in the movie "New Moon" for "5 mins" she will be cast for the other movies like Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Her acting skills lacks many things Leah Clearwater has. And I know that why you call it acting because your suppose to act out the part but lets be realistic. Vanessa Hudgens just doesnt met up to the standards.
And I dont think she is Twilight material. And in Twilight if you havent notice, they casted people that are not that well known stars. Just look at their cast for crying out loud. I defentily hope Vanessa Hudgens doesnt not get the part of Leah Clearwater.
And thats just my opinion !

There are three main reasons Vanessa Hudgens cannot, and should not be casted into Twilight.

1. To people who actually read the books (that is a lot of people) Vanessa wouldn't fit anyone. She's to happy looking and her voice is just...

2. She wouldn't really fit in with the rest of the cast. Everyone else has played major roles, that were a lot better than any High School Musical... Sort of.

And 3. Its Vannesa Hudges. Thank god she didn't try out because frankly I would hate New Moon because of her. Id still love the books just not her.

So, Venessa. Gorgeous girl, but I really don't feel like she's shown ANY true acting ability in the movies she's been in so far. MAYBE she can act when she isn't in a cheesy over-the-top movie like HSM, but something still makes me really happy she isn't going to be Leah. I think what bothers me the most is her "hotter, sweeter, more talented then you" kind of vibe she sends in any film or picture of her I've seen. Yet, maybe when given such a pressuring part (with insane, obsessive, picky Twilight fans such as us) she would step it up and be awesome. Who knows? But I guess we never will.
