Mike 'Mad Dog' Bell found dead

Categories: Movie Biz

Former pro wrestler Mike "Mad Dog" Bell, whose substance abuse was featured in this year’s documentary Bigger, Stronger, Faster (directed by Mad Dog’s brother Chris Bell), was found dead earlier this week at a rehab home in Newport Beach, Calif. He was 37. Bell wrestled on World Wrestling Entertainment’s (formerly the World
Wrestling Federation) "Monday Night Raw" and had matches in the early 1990s with big names like "The Undertaker," Bret Hart and "British Bulldog." Chris Bell told the Orange County Register that the cause of his brother’s death is still unknown but
suggested it could be attributed to the "rough life" the wrestler lived. "He was
always wrestling, he was a personal trainer, he was always pushing his
body to the max."
