I can't see how anyone could complain about this movie. Even though I didn't read the books before I saw it, I had no problems understanding what were going on. I believe that if somebody didn't get the movie, they couldn't have paid attention, or quite dumb.
I loved it, and went straight to my bed, reading. Did the first book in four hours, and then I saw the movie again. Yes, there were differences, but with a low budget, and a thick book, there's no way the movie will become exactly the same.
I don't think anyone could have played Bella or Edward better then Rob and Kirsten did, and I must admit I really do love Rob now.
Anyway, the reviewers must be old, sad med, with no sence of romance. The movie is just amazing, and I can't wait until the next one comes.

I love how someone is insulting the fact that they fell in love in a matter of days. Why don't you go and insult Romeo and Juliet as well.

I saw Twilight this past weekend, and went it with absolutely no expectations because I had not read the books, did not know what the big hoopla was about and because everyone else was watching it I thought I would check it out. With that said, I loved it! Maybe because I had no expectations, but I understood it was made on a small budget, and there were definitely some cheesestastic moments. But overall Edward Cullens did it for me and my three friends who went to see it, none of us had read the books. We left heading to the bookstore, bought the books, and are in love with Edward Cullens. He definitely carried the film, and I am now a fan of the Twilight series getting started on the second book. They had a small budget, lets hope they get the funding they need to do it better, but the beauty is that such a simple concept and so wonderfully played by Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, they did well with what they had. His crooked smile did it for me, Swoon.....

As a grandmother of 4 girls with no interest in reading,I read Twilight and then immediately the next 3 books. I bought them for my grandaughters, and after convincing the oldest one to read the first two chapters, she found out at school that everyone else was reading them too. She then flew through the first one and begged me for the others. Once this happened, the other girls wanted to know what all the fuss was about, and they all ended up reading them. Two of their schools gave them extra credit for reading and writing reports on them, which was great. We all went to together twice to see the movie, and it was quality time spent together. We all loved the characters. The girls love Edward, of course, but also want to see Jacob happy too; and more of Alice. All in all, I encourage parents & grandparents to get their kids reading these books. No cursing, sex, drugs, etc, and it makes a perfect scenario for spending time with your kids!
