Charlie Crews may not know who framed him, but he’s got at least nine more episodes to figure it out: NBC has picked up the detective drama Life for the rest of the season, giving the series a full slate of 22 episodes for the 2008-9 campaign. (The network ordered six additional scripts a few weeks ago, so there shouldn’t be any lag in production.) The critically respected yet modestly rated Life — averaging a little more than six million viewers this season — moved from Fridays at 10 p.m. to Wednesdays at 9 p.m. this week. — Additional reporting by Lynette Rice

Yeah! I love this show. And its first week at Weds, the ratings were higher than for the previous ep .. so hopefully that trend continues …
I’m so happy about this! My only concern is about next January, when Lost debuts at the same time as Life. Maybe I’ll ask for a dvr for Christmas…
I am so happy about this. I’ve been dvring it b/c I usually cannot watch any of my shows so maybe that is helping. I pray enough people find this show now that it is on Wednesdays.
Finally!
I haven’t missed an episode! I dvr it every week!! It’s shows like this that make you think and enjoy what you are watching at the same time! THANKS NBC!!!
I have really loved this show. Its different and really great. Plus its quirky.

If you haven’t watched Life, you are missing out. It is lovely fun with flawed quirky characters.
best news all week
excellent. i had no idea it didn’t have a full season in the first place. who’s really, really enjoying donal logue as the new captain? what a great addition.
NBC has hit rock bottom. They are keeping all their low-rated shows because they have nothing else left…Life, Kath & Kim (worst show EVER), and next will probably be Lipstick Jungle (yippee for the 3 million people who watch that show). Ben Silverman needs to be fired. He’s ruined that network.
I love Life; however, I do not like the new captain. Please remove him,
This is terrific news!I really, really love this show.
Ilove this show… but do NOT get the addition of Donal Logue to the cast. Getting rid of the old captain to be replaced by him made no sense. That and… they did not need another quirly character on the show – it’s not a DAVID E KELLY prodiction.
Wow, some prayers do get answered. This is such a well written and acted show. I’m so glad NBC realizes what it has. Now, maybe it’ll stop shuffling it’s timeslot around!!!!
I love this show! If it were on every day I would watch it. Damian Lewis is wonderful in that role!
NBC had no choice , but to give Life a full season. They are cutting back $500M in operating expenses in 2009, which means they will develop fewer shows and probably only spend money on current shows on the air. You won’t be seeing them developing many new pilots or midseason shows anymore.
But, I am loving that Life got renewed.
Glad that Life got a full season order. I’ve been with the show from the beginning and I like it quite a bit. I do have to say that while Donal Logue is usually a good actor, he is out of sorts on this show and should be axed. NBC also has to get it’s act together. It is slowly killing Heroes, its one cash cow. Let Kring run his show the way he wants to.
I’ve been meaning to catch this show but there are just too many hour long cop shows out there. Maybe i’ll get the dvd. I’m a big fan of damien lewis. http://www.fashionablesingles.com
Aside from the UK version of Life on Mars, this is the best cop show to come along since NYPD Blue! Oh and I love the addition of Donal Logue, but I have always liked him, I can see how his character might be offputting. I am so happy this got a full season.
I love this show and I’m so glad it’s sticking around. Can’t shake the feeling, though, that it might have been better served on NBC’s sister network, USA, where modest ratings are respectable and quirky detectives are all the rage. Maybe we can hope it will prove a safe haven should NBC get any ideas about cancelling this fabulous series.
I have loved Life since its premier, but I absolutley hate the new captain. If he must stay, please, please, please stop the budding romance between him and Reese.
Excellent! Can I get a “woot woot”
Great news — I love “Life” and Damien Lewis. And I guess I’m the only one who likes Donal Logue as the captain…
Yay, I love this show, it is definitely one of my favorites. I love the cast, but totally agree with the majority, the one thing I do not like is the new captain. Donal Logue just doesn’t work and trying to pair him with Reese I especially do not like because it doesn’t work. But I love the chemistry between Crews and Reese, and I mean that in a platonic sense.
LOVE this show, and i think Donal is great as the captain!!! but i loved the show BEFORE him…so i wouldnt miss him….it sucks that fans live in fear of the ratings…even when the show is FREAGGIN’ AWESOME! I can ow sigh in relief.
I love this show! I’m surprised about the comments re: Donal Logue. I think he’s hilarious! I think his character is a good offset for Crews.
Yes! I love Life.
I like the new captain a lot. I’m just weirded out with his romance with reese. unnecessary. also crews’ lawyer fellow, i don’t know his name because he’s damned boring, needs to go. every moment he’s on alone makes me wanna kill myself.
Yes! I am so happy about this. It’s one of my favorite shows right now. I was concerned they were going to give up on it.
