McCain was GREAT when he hosted those years ago. I can still remember him poking fun at Barbara Streisand by singing his songs. I love that he can poke fun of himself. His line about the “Sad Grampa” campaign strategy was the funniest line of the night. It didn’t make me want vote for him, but made me laugh nonetheless.

McCain is great with humor, especially when you consider he spent 5 years in a dank prison where he was tortured. How does a man survive that, much less have a sense of humor.
Also, Affleck was hilarious as Olbermann. And also Miss Prescious Perfect deserves some recognition.
Though, I still believe the 92 election was the hieght of the shows comedy run.

No offense to McCain who was pretty funny for a politician or to Ben Affleck, who was the host and who actually did a great job. But, don’t under estimate the number of David Cook fans who turned on SNL for a look at our favorite guy. He sure didn’t hurt the ratings. There are actually millions of us and we were dying to see him on television again. He didn’t disappoint. David and the new band were awesome and frankly the only reason I watched.

The only funny part about SNL this week was Cindy McCain. That was the only part that I actually really laughed at. It was a waste of Ben Affleck, who usually does a great job as host.
