Gale Harold, who recurs as the love interest of Teri Hatcher’s character on Desperate Housewives, has been hospitalized after suffering serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday. As of Thursday evening, the AP reports, the 38-year-old actor was still in Los Angeles County USC Medical Center’s intensive care unit, but despite swelling on his brain and a fractured shoulder, hospital officials say he is improving and should recover. In a statement, the producers of Desperate Housewives said, “Gale is a part of the Desperate Housewives family, and our thoughts and wishes are with him for a speedy recovery.” No one else was injured in the accident.
Harold first appeared on Desperate Housewives in last May’s season finale.
He’s best known for playing Brian Kinney on Showtime’s Queer as Folk. He also starred on Fox’s Vanished.

Thank God he’s ok. I assume he was wearing helmut, if he wasn’t it could have been much, much worse. Really liking him on the show so he needs to ride safe and stick around.
I absolutely lovvvvvvvvvve the sexy Gale Harold (from queer as folk days) and I just read about his accident and was shocked. Thank goodness he is going to be okay. I send him wishes for a speedy recovery. He is a great talent and I can’t wait to see him back in action.

Thank goodness Gale is OK, we have lost enough wonderful actors to this sort of thing. I just hope he has no permanent damage to his beautiful body.
I agree about the helmet, unlike many actors he’s so brilliant it would be tragic for his brain to have been damaged but I guess it’s OK from the press releases.

I was so shocked to hear about Gale’s accident, really hope he makes a full recovery and that this doesn’t cause him any long term health problems. Was so excited about his foray into mainstream TV and really hope that Marc Cherry works to keep Gale in the picture especially when he sees the overwhelming support Gale has from his adoring fans.
