Swingtown is jumping into bed with a new partner: Bravo. The network just acquired the exclusive cable rights to CBS’ spouse-sharing, ’70s-set drama, and plans to re-air it sometime this fall. (The edgy, ratings-challenged show, which finished its 13-episode run a few weeks ago, has a slim chance for renewal on CBS.) Although the move would seem to open the door for Tom, Trina, and the rest of the bell-bottomed gang to make another summer of love — and on cable, where many felt that the series belonged in the first place — Bravo says that it has no plans to order additional seasons of Swingtown. Might supergroovy ratings this fall change anyone’s mind? Fans can only hope.

I love your behaviour…
I love your
behaviour, the light

to you when
a care disappears

Fantastic news! Hopefully they might still find a way to keep the show going too….
Great show, let’s hope it gets renewed!
Hopefully the show will be renewed with a whole new audience from Bravo finding the show.Love this show.
This is encouraging news. Please go to myspace.com/saveswingtown and throw us an add to show your support for the show! Thanks!
I’m so excited this is a great opportunity for Swingtown and it gives up more hope for a season 2
This is one of the BEST shows on television! Please bring it back for another season!!!
I hope Swingtown comes back with new episodes. Kudos to Bravo for giving the show another chance. FX would have been a great home for it as well.
happy happy joy joy – I need Roger back!!!!!
Thank You BRAVO for stepping up where CBS should have!!! I can’t wait to watch SWINGTOWN again. Hopefully a Season 2 will follow in the spring!!
This is fantastic news! For Swingtown being a low-rated drama, it sure is getting a lot of attention even after its ended. There’s still a lot of positive buzz around the show, and CBS still hasn’t cancelled it, and now Bravo picks up rights to re-air the first eason. Hopefully, with high ratings, they’ll be encouraged to order a second season!
And notice that Flashpoint is getting no attention what so ever, even though it’s already been picked up for a second season.
For those with streaming netflix, the entire first season is available there, and without commercial interruption. If I’m going to watch it, that’ll be the way…
Love this show!! Please bring is back CBS!!!
THANK YOU, BRAVO!! This is a great show and I wasn’t too happy to see it end. I do hope you additional episodes are made for a second, third, and so on season.
Bravo, please pick up this show. It is fantastic!
This is an awesome show. I hope CBS renews it for another season. The actors on this program are superb.
i still cant believe it was cancelled, it sure does generate quite a bit of buzz.
i always looked forward to watching it and seeing Roger, he was my favorite!
THANK YOU, BRAVO, for showing ‘Swingtown’ the love and respect it deserves. PLEASE consider producing a second season!!!!!
thank you bravo, i’m addicted and need a fix of swingtown
thanks bravo, hope to see some new swingtown makings soon, it’s the best show, deals with real life issues on family and friends, we all are hoping to save swingtown!!!
I have to be honest. I stumbled onto Swingtown, but within 10 minutes of watching it, it felt like the best television I had seen in, gee, a decade. So many other programs got me a bit interested, but then sort of developed into forumlas. Not Swingtown. Every episode was like another great chapter of a wonderful book. Being from the ’70’s, it was like being dropped into a time machine. It was painful when the show ended after 13 episodes with so many loose ends. I’m really glad BRAVO has picked it up for re-broadcast. With the existing fan support, and the new fans it will attract, I feel this show has legs for at least five full seasons if a TV channel has the guts to make the investment it deserves. I hope that both CBS and BRAVO agree.
The problem with airing it on Cable was that Cable would have pushed more nudity and would have taken away from the conflict of the three main couples. I doubt that CBS will give it another chance next Summer but I hope they do. If yes, I think that music volume needs to be adjusted. I know that the 70’s had no stereo but the grainy tone sounds fake.
it would be a shame if Swingtown DIDN’T come back for another season.
My husband & I wait with baited breath each week for another episode.
Good stuff!!
Please don’t disappoint me CBS.
I don’t understand…do the networks even look at boards like this? If they did they would jump at a chance to renew AND produce more episodes. The reviews I’ve read from the public are 99% positive (how many shows can boast that?) and the show just happened to be put at a crappy time slot…BRING IT BACK!
CBS seems notorious for cancelling shows people like (Moonlight). I try not to watch anything new CBS comes out with, but, unfortunately i liked this show too and what a surprise, they cancelled it. I refuse now to watch the show they are replacing Moonlight with. It’ll probably get cancelled anyway. I am so done with new CBS shows.
great great show…start watching after the 3rd episode then was hooked…please bring it back…
Thank you Bravo for picking up the show. This is a great show that we look forward every week to watch.
PLEASE bring back Swingtown for a second season!
More new episodes! More new episodes! More new episodes!
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease
I really wish they would bring it back. This is why I hate getting into a new show and investing in the characters
!
