Comedian Zach Galifianakis will star in director Todd Phillips’ (Old School) new buddy comedy The Hangover, set to begin shooting later this month. The Comedy Central stand-by will play opposite Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper as one of three friends who wake up the morning after a debaucherous Las Vegas bachelor party and realize they’ve lost the groom. The buddies are forced to retrace their steps from the night before in order to get the groom to the altar in time for his wedding. Galifianakis, who played Dave the Bear in What Happens in Vegas back in May, can be seen later this year opposite Michael Cera in Miguel Arteta’s Youth in Revolt and as a scientist in charge of a group of commando zoo animals in Jerry Bruckheimer’s 2009 animated action film G-Force.

Happy New Years Day! I got sooooo hammered last night in Nashville. Great country music and ringing in the new year just about did me in.
I was staying at the 5 Star Hermitage Hotel, and woke up to 2 packs of JACK’S Rock & Roll Hangover Relief next to my bed. The kicker is that it was a complementary gift from the hotel.
