As everybody gets ready for Tuesday’s season 1 finale of Secret Life of the American Teenager, EW.com has learned a few secrets about season 2, which goes into production this week. At Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, star Francia Raisa (who plays the promiscuous yet feisty Adrian on the show) spilled the beans about a few things that we can expect to see in future episodes. Her report is after the jump.
"There’s a
big shocker between Ben and Amy," Raisa hints. "Just remember, Ben
kept
insisting on Amy marrying him, and she might actually do it. That’s all
I’m saying!"
Besides a possible walk down the aisle for Secret Life’s token
15-year-old lovebirds, what else is
going to go down for Ben and Amy’s classmates? "There’s a
bunch of drama going on with my [character's] dad," Raisa adds, "so there’s more
about that. And of course there’s drama with Ricky. There’s a little
twist with my character, as well. Just remember, my character said in the
first episode, ‘No one ever takes advantage of me,’ so really think
about that line…. I know a lot of
people will appreciate the little twists that they are bringing into
these characters."

this show is awesomely bad. You gotta love it! The worse acting I’ve seen in years, and I love every moment. I hope Ben and Amy don’t get married. Ben’s become super duper creepy and he needs to chill and date other girls. Plus, they couldn’t stay happily married at 15… this is still a teen show after all! so how would they end it, divorce, a pre-nup? Too messy… total jump the shark stuff. My favs are Ricky and Grace, I hope they stay together for a bit. I <3 GRICKY!
There are way better TV shows out there, why waste time with bad acting and bad scripts? Montel is on every day if you need a fix.
hmmm… let’s think drama with her dad? A little twist with her (very promiscuous) character? That line being significant? Please, totally calling it, her father abused her. SO OBVIOUS!

This show is basically a teenage soap opera.But I love it.It’s funny and sweet, and some things are relatable.As for Adrian being abused, it’s not possible because she just met her dad 2 episodes ago.

the guy who plays ricky has such HORRIBLE acting. he’s so monotone and only has 1 expression throughout the whole season. he doesn’t seem like a “character”. he just seems like a guy who is “trying to act” and fails miserably at it. his character isn’t convincing like Adrian. Adrian is too good of an actor to be paired up with him. Amy and her sister are sooo cute!
Ben and Amy are SO freaking CUTE!. Reminds of me YOUNG pure innocent love. …Xcept for the part where she got knocked up :S. She should have done something about her pregnancy, she could have taken a day after pill, or went to a doctor, but poor kiddo wasnt iformed

Its sad to hear alot of these people idolizing characters like Ricky. Ricky is the worst person to ever get involved with. I still can’t tell if Grace is his next “victim” or if he truley wants to get better. I am guessing she is his next victim. The best plot twist they could do is grace and ricky making out and grace doesn’t want to go further, but ricky does. Rape is very hard to prove especially in the way grace took off her purity ring and the way she is acting, if she doesn’t know how to handle the situation like most girls, they bottle it up and don’t want to tell anyone. It is a very real situation that happens to many girls in high school. It would cause some drama for quite awhile in the series and give grace some depth in her character. Right now she is too much of a stereotype and she needs some real life experiences to show us her true acting abilities. The show is great and I have known many people when in HS like the ones in the show including the creeps like ricky.
