Olympic superstar Michael Phelps, who’s already set to host Saturday Night Live, will make a cameo on the HBO comedy Entourage later this year. Phelps scored the gig after literally stumbling upon the show’s set while it was recently shooting in Manhattan. After learning how Phelps was a big fan, series producer Doug Ellin immediately wrote the gold medalist into the episode. He’ll interact with Kevin Connolly’s Eric Murphy in an episode scheduled to air later this year. Entourage begins its fifth season Sept. 7.

What’s the over-under on how long it will take before we start to feel some serious “Phelps-Fatigue”?
I really don’t get the Michael Phelps thing. He’s such a tool. What could he possibly do on Entourage that would look natural with him, other than get bullied by the boys.
Hey! Lay off Michael! He is a true American who represented the US @ a historical Olympic event! He deserves all the kudos he gets, as well as the millions he will make from endorsements, book deals, public appearances, etc. He did it all because of his ability to stay disciplined and focused, and his continuance to work hard, and the results, well, they speak for themself. He should be someone everyone looks up to. Not like how some fools idolize and continue to watch the idiots on the “reality shows”, who just want their 15 minutes of fame and try to win money through no hard work at all. You go, Mike!
heyyy!!!!!! i love Michael!!! but i never thought of him as an actor!!! i dont ever watch the show but now that Michael is on than i will watch it always!!!!! or whenever he is on!!!!! yea but i also agree with the others!!!!! Michael has earned to much to just go on tv like that!! i mean he is my insperation but you need people like that who arent fools on tv!! he has earned too much from the Olympics and his fans to become a tv person!!! kinda!! i will check it out though!!!!!! think about his RESPECT!!!
