Just rewatching everything on the extended version again its soooooo good you are carried away to another world I do this every year and i also read the book along with The Hobbit on a yearly basis can’t wait to see THE Hobbit but will it be as good as Lord of the Rings!!!!!That was some labour of Love by Peter,Fran and Philipa!

I am dissapointed that Jackson isn’t directing it. However, if someone could manage to make a film that could compete to jackson’s it will defenetly be del toro. And togheter with the scriptwrithers from lotr, i believe there’s another epic movie in the making. Already cant wait till it comes out (and we have to wait for a very long time)

I know you would like to see Aragorn and Legolas again, so would we, but that wouldn’t be according to the book, and they already have to decide what to remove from the book, to keep it shorter, and adding charasters that don’t belong in the movie wouldn’t be exactly possible, now would it?

I will just say that though I am disappointed Peter Jackson isn’t directing these movies, how lucky are we? Who cares that the story took place in 2356 or that Aragorn should be 10? I don’t even know how you people know this…I guess someone actually felt it was ‘real’ enough to calculate it. It’s something that has brought the world together in appreciation of J.R.R Tolkien for his incredible imagination and storytelling abilities. Come on, people..
I am just happy that this story is important enough to be told, and hopefully the asses out there won’t be jerks and ruin it for the rest of us.

Aragorn will (should) feature more prominantly in the second film."] You forgot that Fran Walsh, Peter Jackson and Guillermo del Toro are thinking to make two hobbits movies, while the first would tell the book's history, the second would tell more unaproached matters, like the White Council last meeting (That was at 2953, Aragorn would have 22 years). Anyway, they pretend to soar their imagination in this second movie, and, depending on the epoch, it's perfectly normal to have Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn again.

A couple things to keep in mind. 1) At the time of “The Hobbit”, Aragorn was 10 years old and living in Rivendell. Expect that, when Bilbo and the dwarves reach Rivendell, there will be a young human boy running around (possibly with Elrond saying “Argagorn, go play outside!” or something). Aragorn will (should) feature more prominantly in the second film. 2) Legolas was hundresd of years old at the time of Lord of the Rings. There’s no reason he wouldn’t be seen wandering the halls of the wood elves (hopefully he won’t be used as one of the elf guards that passes out from drinking…they already foolishly portrayed him as being highly tolerant of alcohol…outdrinking a dwarf? bah!)

Hope that in the second movie Moria and the incidents there i.e. Balin’s lost fights against Orcs and the Balrog play a prominent role !!!
