HBO remains hell-bent on finding a way to showcase the talents of Kanye West. Long before the writers’ strike began last November, the network began discussing whether to team the rapper with executive producer Larry Charles (Curb Your Enthusiasm) for a yet-to-be-named, single-camera series that would follow the busy life of the Grammy-winning artist and his relationship with family and friends. One key insider says HBO is now looking for a writer — and some creative inspiration — before moving forward with the project: “We need to figure out how to capture Kanye in the right way.” Anything that allows him to gas on about his many talents should do the trick.

Oh please do NOT give this bloated, ignorant, talent-less hack another reason to proclaim himself king over all.
HBO has shown good sense in it’s original programming (for the most part), but this is just a flat-out lousy idea. Kanye West is an oafish turd.
I like Kanye’s music and will agree that he has talents in that department, but he’s pretty obnoxious outside of that. This sounds like an absolutely horrendous idea. He should stick to what he knows.
Just wait and see people. With the thoughtful grounbreaking detail HBO pays to their series’ is it really such a bad idea. Can’t be worse than Mind of The Married Man or Tell me You Love Me! C’mon people. And I can see not diggin his particular brand of music, but to call him untalented is erroneous and small minded. The guy REALLY cares about his music, which is more than I can say for the majority of pop-tarts on the radio.
But yes he sometimes can be a d**k! Point taken…..lol
Hey Kanye, the Menard’s guy called – he wants his glasses back!
I can see this show on E! but not on HBO!
oafish turd? youre an oafish turd….kanye is one of the best rappers right now and i would like to see you come up with half the stuff he comes up with without even writing it down.
this is for both of you scott and 1
Although I acknowledge Kanye’s talents as a producer and rapper, I’d still find it hard to watch because of his inflated ego. If his TBD TV show manages to emphasize his musical prowess while keeping the hubris to a minimum, it can work. Otherwise, it’ll be an unwatchable mess.
great producer, decent rapper, obnoxious attitude.
He needs to apologize to President Bush for his childish and immature racist comment. He needs to lighten up (everyone has a background story so get over it). His attitude sucks or maybe he has bad teeth. SMILE KENYE! All that money can’t be all that bad. And he’s not good looking so why would he have a reality show? Oh wait … Flav had one … my bad!
Kanye is a great rapper no doubt about it…should he have his own show…idk…his attitude really needs to change but his attitude also showcases the fact that he’s as real as it gets and he’s not gonna hold his tongue to please anyone….maybe the show will turn out to be really great…I for one am tired of reality shows and people capitalizing off of basic ally exploiting themselves…but who knows?!
Lulu – shut up, you can’t even spell his name (look above.)
Kanye is the truth…period. He has several talents, but what people hate about him most is his unwaivering faith in himself and his abilities.
