Ashley Dupre, former New York Governor's call girl, pitching reality dating series

Categories: TV Biz

Ashley Dupré — the infamous call girl hired by former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer — is hoping to reinvent herself. No, not as a singer — as a reality TV star. The 23-year-old New Jersey native has teamed up with production house Reveille (The Office, The Biggest Loser) to pitch a reality dating show described as a cross between Pretty Woman and Cinderella. The show revolves around the idea that everyone has a skeleton in the closet, and will include Dupré working with a therapist to come to terms with her past and help her fall in love. Says a source close to the proposed series: “This is the story of a woman who is desperately seeking a second chance, and is willing to put her life under the microscope on national TV to try to redeem herself.”
