I just re-watched season 1 of Project Runway on dvd and I have to say that it was the best season so far and it clearly pointed out the down hill direction it’s been taking since. The editing was amazing and they balanced the desingers, the clothes and the models perfectly. Every season since it’s gotten more about personality and less about fashion and now if the Real World losers take over it will never be the same – and not in a good way. First of all, fashion is New York. Sorry, but the LA fashion scene is just as bogus as the LA modeling scene. If you are talking SERIOUS high fashion you are talking NY so the move is lame. After that it doesn’t matter. I guess I’ll just have to look forward to Top Chef from now on – unless Bravo blows that too.

My very favorite reality series will now be destroyed. I was nervous about the switch to Lifetime and the location from NYC to LA, but these latest news confirms that PROJECT RUNWAY is doomed.

OMG! I cannot STAND Real World. PR is one of my favorite shows and I can just see the Real World jackasses ruining it. They are going to hunt for EVERY stereotype they can find and try to bring there crass drama tactics to this great show. Hopefully Heidi has enough say to control this. She is a producer too. And LIFETIME? That network sucks. Bravo must be out of their damned minds letting PR go. What’s next? Inside the Actors Studio on the Weather Channel?
We shall see. In the words of one of TV’s best – Tim Gunn: MAKE IT WORK!

Here goes picking contestants for their sewing/design ability and hello to picking contestants for their ability to ‘bring the drama’. The workroom always brings drama, but I suspect people will be chosen ONLY for their dramatic levels, not for their creativity/design.
