Yeah, the $10 price tag in stores like Wal-Mart and Target was a big motivator to buy it early ($15 after that? Ouch!). Fortunately, the CD holds up with the excellent material Coldplay put together in their 4th outing. They earned every sold CD with that superb album.

Viva la vida is such a mix. Swirling guitars, crunching organs and a whole slew of other intstruments that all come together to paint an aural landscape that has to be heard to be believed. There's the somber and creepy in "Cemeteries of London" (although a great track) and the sparkling enthusiasm for life which spills out of "Lovers in Japan" and "Life in Technicolour". "42" starts slow but the rocks out into a wonderful experience and the album concludes with "Death and all his friends" another wonderful piece of music. Buoyed by the two singles, "Viva la vida," with its exceptional lyrics and beat and the sadder, more thought provoking "Violet Hill", and rocking gently on a "Strawberry Swing" towards its inevitable conclusion, all of Viva's tracks come together to create a true listening experience. I just wish I could afford to see it in concert.

Yep, pricing your product (9.99 Best Buy) will do wonders in posting huge sales, but you also have to follow with it with talent, which Coldplay does abundantly well. Seen them 3 times in past 2 years, they give it their in concert, one of the best live acts you could see.

I bought the album the 1st day it came out. I LOVE COldpay It, plus, it was $10.49 with tax at Circuit City... I'm also going to the Viva La Vida concert when it comes to DC on the 3rd of August. COLDPLAY IS AWESOME. PERIOD!
