Lil Wayne is overrated. The people who think his lyrics are clever and have deep metaphors must have an 8th grade reading level or lower. It sounds like he used a 1st grade vocabulary workbook for suffixes to help find his simple rhyming words.
You can’t top Biggie with his dope flows and mad storytelling skills that painted vivid pictures. Who wants to think about being a venreal disease like a mentrual bleed? The only things I will give props to Lil Wayne for is being in the business for as long as he has, getting paid well for something that he loves to do, knowing how to MARKET himself and having sick beats. In addition, for being able to sell millions of records to people who love lyrics that sound like the person rapping is running out of things to say and just pulling crap out of his butt, and where the same words are being repeated over and over. Lil Wayne can’t freestyle on the fly. Look him up on youtube and see him freeze. Straight weak!!
