Yikes, this is unfortunate. He was always a major weak link on Melrose – he was actually a stiffer and blander actor than Josie Bissett. There were so many other good-looking men on those Spelling shows — if they want to keep it in the family, I’m sure there are dozens who’d be happy for the work.

This 90210 will be different than the last since I think it will focus a lot on the parents also. Too many younger looking parents on this show.

seeing as melrose was a spinoff of hills, that technically makes his appearance a continuity issue, even though he’ll be playing a different character… why do they need to “reboot” hills? what’s the point, so many years later? what’s next? models, inc., the next generation?

I always liked Rob Estes. I always thought he was a handsome man and an underrated actor. I think his additon to this show will be great.
