I'm fairly certain that the music so many of you are looking for -- the scene of Carrie sitting by the cliff in Mexico -- is part of the film's score, which was composed by Aaron Zigman and recorded with a large ensemble of the Hollywood Studio Symphony. I haven't seen a "score" version of this movie's soundtrack available.
