True that, David is completely right. American Idol is about singing, and idolizing a SINGER!
And slr, racial comments aren’t necessary. His performances are a bad reminder of where he comes from? Rediculous. I think his dancing is cute, and it’s funny how in a lot of interviews he laughs at himself and says he knows he isn’t very talented in dancing. He does it well enough to be very entertaining to watch, as well as hear. I think his past shouldn’t matter, and it doesn’t to me. It doesn’t bother David, and it doesn’t bother me.
I hope David goes on to a very long, successful career, and I will certainly help him along by buying his albums.

Are you parents so naive that you think American Idol was created to promote role models for your kids? It’s sole purpose is to make money for those involved with the show. The “Idols” will continue to make money for the producers for years. If your kids “idolize” anyone on TV, you need to start explaining the difference between fantasy and reality. Get real and be the role model yourself.

I think he is very genuine and I give David alot of credit. He is who he is. He is not a mass murderer, a convicted criminal or a child molester. He is or was a male stripper. Big Deal. He did not do anything illegal. Apparently he worked in a legal establishment. I think he did so poorly Tuesday because of this infatuation with his past. Big Deal. We all have a past and need to move on. He knows who he is and knows that he only has to answer to himself and God. So who are we. Once again, it is not illegal, maybe immoral in some peoples eyes, a choice I would never make, but again we have to only answer to ourselves and God. Stop the hatred. Start the kindness. We only have a short time on this earth. So make the best of it. Please!!

I was so mad they voted david off now I’m going to watch the rest of the show. I think they mad a big mistake kristy cook should of been the one to go; david is much better then her.

He has a good talent. I love the way he sings. He looks so hot. Yummy guy. Can I have a taste of him???? He is such a good looking guy with a very talented vocals. I mean, is there anything wrong to become a stripper???? You can’t be a stripper if you don’t have the looks and a well-built body. In fact, it’s an asset….

either way: decent vocals, or not, the issue is the fact that he worked in the adult entertainment industry. I do not want my child idolizing someone like this. He struggled for nothing, because he sold his body when times got tough. He has done nothing to prove that he’s worked towards a career in the music industry. There is nothing about this guy that makes “stripping” OK. Being a responsible parent, it is my job to make sure my kids are idolizing positive role models, and not skeezy strippers. He danced, because he had nothing else to offer the world. After his elimination, my case is proved. Other contestants had worse performances, but their character was not proven to be as low as David Hernandez’s. All of the above aside, it’s not like he ever had a single chance of winning. Even if he wasn’t a skeezy stripper, his vocals would have put him out within the next 2-3weeks anyway.
