I cannot stand Drew Carey – will someone please tell him to stop saying words or names over and over again. Doesn’t know the games, confuses the contestants, is NOT funny. Howie Mandel would have been a wonderful choice or the gentleman who hosts Family Fued. Anyone but Drew!

He’s made so many mistakes that I can’t even believe they don’t have damage control take care of that.
At times he is even off with timing when ending a game.
And what’s up with that corresponder in the backround, do we really care what he looks like??

I co-sign your post. I can’t believe they picked Drew Carey to play the host of TPIR. Then they even change up the script at some points to make it different for him? (offering tickets for a small part in a soap as a prize, etc.) SMH

I don’t watch TPIR anymore. I can’t stand to see Drew Carey not wearing a tie. He looks like a fat slob with just a jacket, no tie, and his shirt collar unbuttoned. Is it too much to wear a tie for a couple of hours a week? He really can’t compare with Bob Barker, who always looked and acted like a gentleman. Also, the new games aren’t cleaver anymore. They are really simple, dumbed-down games with only a fifty-fifty chance of winning. I’m just not interested.

I must repeat myself on how much I enjoy watching Drew Carey host The Price is Right. His genuine enthusiam with the guests is so rewarding. He’s the ideal host. Unfortunately I live on the east coast so I won’t be coming down the aisles very soon. I’m sure this show will run as long as it did with Bob Barker as the host.

Bob Barker was the heart and soul of The Price is Right. Both young and old enjoyed TPIR as an entertaining morning treat. The show was a timeless classic; the set, the sounds, the games, and most of all: Bob Barker who’s a tall and handsome man, perfect as a host and had fantastic rapport with the audience and contestants. After Bob’s retirement TPIR was never the same. Drew Carey was an erroneous pick as the new host. The new set on the show is ghastly. Looks like it was designed for a Ringling Brother’s circus; the theme song was re-mixed and sounds ridiculous; many of the older cues have been replaced with inane sounding techno crap; and the sheer stupidity of having some guest bands appear on the show, crazy! Personally, I have nothing against Drew Carey, but he isn’t game show host material. I predict TPIR will last maybe five more seasons. TPIR should’ve been cancelled and let the show cease production with dignity after Bob retired. It’s just a mere shell of it’s former self, an embarrassment.
