I've been a Jessica fan for years, since she first started. I still love her. I have bought every single one of her cd's and have liked every one of them. The girl is just plain amazing. I'm pretty new to country, hated it all my life, it's not the typical type of music for someone that gre up in OC, like me, and never gave country a shot until I moved to Phoenix and suddenly I'm the only person that doens't listen to it and it's everywhere, you can't get away from it once you leave OC and it's actually good stuff! Having only been listening to country and liking it for about 3 years now, I'm not expert, but this is my favorite cd of hers. She's found her way. This is what she's good at. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. It's that simple. How about trying to do something, spend a lot of time and effort into something that you're passionate about and then have everyone bash it on the internet, just don't listen to it and leave her alone. Grow up.

music is music. people change genres all the time. what's wrong with her foray into country music. do your personal interests change? how come you're aloud to try different things and someone like jessica simpson can't. before you go all boo hooing her, listen to the song. She has pipes. She deserves credit where credit is due. How come Madonna who we all know can't sing makes it to #1 everytime?? it's b/c it's a popularity contest. haven't we left high school yet. i personally have never bought a jessica simpson album and just listened to her song and it's catchy, fun and she has a good voice. I think the point here is not about whether she's a freaking role model, but more of whether she CAN sing country. So don't drift away from the point.

Whether or not she's a role model does not prove that she's a good country singer.

It's amazing how mean our society has become. When a person wishes such Ill will against someone you don't even know. It's ok to have an opinion about someone's music but why be so mean. What if someone left a message for you that said I hope you lose your job today or get in an accident on your way to work because I don't know you that well but we work together and I just don't like the way you talk or dress and you really work harder than anyone else which makes me sick. Sounds kind of silly huh? Well thats what it sounds like with some of the comments you people have made.
Jessica Simpson can sing. Sure she plays up the blond thing but honestly there's not one of you that would pass it up if the same opportunity was given to you. Why has everyone become so negative?? First of all, my "issues" would be about as dull and boring as hers. The only difference is, the public has to put up with her until somebody knocks her back down again. She is a disgrace and embarrassment to the female race- thinking she can run around with her stupid ditsy-empty headed blonde bit pretending to sing. And..I think she is a good role model alright- for girls that think they are nothing because they don't have or wear name-brands items (As spoken by ex-Nick L. on Jay Leno when they were married). Jessica has had her issues but she is talented and a very beautiful girl. If they followed you around and put your issues in the tabloids, I bet it would not be to pretty! At least she has respect for herself and is not drunk, drugged up and in/out of rehab. I hope she does well for herself. She is a true role model for teen age girls and proves that you can stay true to yourself, family and friends even in the spotlight. I wish more young singers/actresses would respect themselves like her!!

It is not our place to be judging people. Jessica's music sells, so she has lots of fans out there or they wouldn't have been willing to produce this album in the first place. All the tabloids look for stars in a vulnerable state and exploit that, they know that that sells. We just need to stop buying those tabloid magazines; and stop encouraging the tabloid craziness. Jessica if you are out there reading these comments. I wish you the best! If the tv show helps you sell your album good, but you need to seek prayer and guidance to develop a positive self esteem. Maybe you should read books like "A New Earth," or "Self Matters." Anyway it doesn't matter what we think, it matters how you think and feel about yourself. Take Care and Many Blessings.

Her music is appalling, her movies are unwatchable and her LAST reality tv series sparked a belief among media critics that America has been "dumbing itself down". I totally agree with Taylor. Jessica has had many chances to prove her "talent" but has only shown she has none. Well, except for getting her face in tabloids. The public will not support this country endeavor, especially country music fans, who are notoriously faithful, and realize Jessica is only doing this as a last ditch effort to stay in the music biz. If she really LOVED country music, then why didn't she start out in it, instead of trying to be like Britney or Christina?

The public is tired of no-talent publicity seekers like Jessica. Her best bet is to get Tony to marry her, move to Texas, have some kids, and disappear!!!

I strangely think this might suit her...as long as she stops doing all the vocal acrobats. When she first started as a teenager, she was a good singer. But somewhere along the way she started making strange faces and doing akward melismas and breathing when she sings. It's like someone told her that was good and now she does it. If she'd stop all that, I think she'd have a better shot at succeeding. She's definitely enlisted some good ppl. Guess we'll see.
