'Heroes,' new shows 'Chuck' and 'Life' renewed for fall 2008

We would love to see more chuck this year, not the fall. And, yes, renew journeyman! It was just starting to roll when it disappeared, the strike and now limited viewing on new stuff. No brainer, Heroes rocks! All three are winners and the fall is a long time away!

they just dont get it!
it is amazing that such good shows get canceled so quick... family guy, firefly, journeyman.... and when did the tv season start ending in... February???? I too thought j-man, chuck, life et al were stalled due to the writers strike... tv in general is losing ground, i once was an addict with a 5 hour a night habit, but the screwy time changes, and toooooo many commercials have finally made me see the error in my addictive ways. Ill get my fix some other way.

soon enough a 4 show season will help me forget about the great ones anyways.

Journeyman deserves to be renewed as well. NBC thought they had a sci-fi action show, and instead got a strong well-acted character-driven drama with sci-fi overtones. This show was their best new drama of the season and arguably the best drama in their entire lineup. If they had promoted it to the same extent they did Heroes, Chuck or Bionic Woman, or moved it away from CSI and MNF, it would have been a ratings hit. It's a shame that networks no longer let critically acclaimed shows have time to grow an audience.

I want Journeyman back too. I love Heroes and Chuck too. I wish they would get rid of the reality shows that really deplete my IQ as I watch. I need compelling plots and twists in a story, not some idiots pretending to show us what real life is about. I know real life! All I have to do is watch the local news for that. I am thrilled to see all the Journeyman fans! Journeyman IS the best new show of the season. Unfortunately NBC doesn't care what it's viewers want, that's why they are at the bottom of the rating heap. If you look at the shows on NBC, Deal or No Deal is the only show they have thats ever in the top 10, and they've ruined that show too.
What a pity. Join the Save Journeyman campaign and hope for the best.

I was a Studio 60 fan and I was so sad to see it go. I hate to see the same thing happen to Journeyman. I was hooked after the first episode and I feel for the characters and the people they help on that show. It's so great and I'm not a sci-fi fan at all. If they can hook me, they can hook anyone, with the right amount of promotion! Please don't kill this show!

What is wrong with the exec's at NBC? First Studio 60 is canceled after just one season, then just when I'm getting over this disappointment Journeyman hits our screens. An intelligent, well written, well produced and well acted show that promised a lot of development over coming seasons. The 13 episode run has just finished here in Ireland and I am devastated that this has not been picked up for the second half of the season.

My daughter (13) also loved this show (and she is not really a sci-fi fan) - she's probably more devastated than I am!

I can understand that it wasn't pulling in fantastic ratings, but these networks need to give new series' a chance to develop and find an audience. No doubt the ratings dwindled towards the end of the run as viewers heard that the show wouldn't continue.

I know all shows have to generate revenue to be viable, but NBC have some integrity and give us some intellegent programming - shows like Journeyman have more worldwide fans than you know!

While I found Life entertaining and am glad it will be back, NBC has two other shows that are incredible - Friday Night Lights and Journeyman. I can not believe they haven't both been picked up. I don't know what is going on at NBC. I used to watch only NBC channels a few years ago. Now I am down to Biggest Loser, Journeyman, FNL & Medium. If NBC cancels JM & FNL I might as well stop watching NBC altogether. Why start getting attached to a show if they might cancel it in a few weeks? NBC wake-up!

Journeyman definitely deserves to be brought back, it's one of the very few intelligent shows on the air right now, and it would be such a mistake to just let it die. The poor timeslot and lack of promotion was a shot in the foot for the show, but given a chance, Journeyman could be absolutely huge. It's intelligent, well-written and interesting, and it's sci-fi that's not cheesy. I'm not kidding when I say that Journeyman is the only series that I watch right now (or, well, 'watched', since it's not airing right now), and I hate to think that it's gone the way of the dinosaur.

This show is incredible, and it has a devoted, though underappreciated, fanbase. We love this show. Journeyman is to us, the fans, what Katie is to Dan - too good to lose without a fight.

Journeyman was an intelligent and well written show. It is the best new show on a declining media outlet. Times change, and if you don't change with them, you will be run over by the freight train that is change. The Nielsen system was put into use in the middle of the last century. Wake up and smell your profits going into the tank. If a model doesn't work, change the model.

Here's to hoping that Heroes gets a little better this time around. The first season was amazing until the finale, and then the second season just lost its spark. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and watch again when it comes back on, but we'll see...

as for Journeyman, I would give anything to see more episodes. My boyfriend and I watched all thirteen on NBC.com over the last week or so, and we're absolutely in love with it. We'd seen advertisements when watching Heroes and constantly said "we should watch that, it looks great!", but it wasn't in a very convenient timeslot, so we ended up watching it online.

He and I are having our belated Valentine's Day dinner at the real Cafe Luna here, and we're geeking out about it. Please, NBC, realize what a fanbase your show has cultivated post-season. ;_;

Life gets renewed as does Chuck. The only reason those two so-so shows got 8.1 million viewers was they had premium time slots and got promoted. If Journeyman got the same treatment we would be hearing about its renewal as well.

Wish they would bring back Journeyman, it's another intelligent, quality show that didn't get promoted very well, so it didn't get many viewers in the beginning. Lots more fans now than there were when it was on, I think NBC would be pleasantly surprised at how well the numbers would do should they bring it back. And to the comment earlier that it's 'dead' - not even close. In limbo, yes, but certainly not dead, and if the Journeyman Fans have anything to say about it with their campaign, it won't be dead! If the Jericho fans can get CBS to listen, here's hoping the Journeyman Fans can get NBC to listen!

Life was the most underrated show of the new season - so glad it will be back!! Now they should rerun the shows over the summer to build even more fans.
