we watch the replays every day and miss having a new show. Other than for news, TV is to relax and have a chuckle or two. Jim provides this in a good clean manner. Beats the "reality" (not so reality) shows.

According to Wikipedia, ABC has decided to pick up According To Jim for the 8th season. It is schedule to begin January 2009. Ugh! So far away! At least it is coming back! Yahoo. This is one of the only shows my husband and I watch together and actually laugh out loud about.

I have loved this show since the get go. There is a big problem with the network only showing it every couple of weeks, changing the times it is on and the dates in the TV guide are not correct. I get so ticked when I think it will be on only to find something else on in its place! I love Jim and the show is funny even without Cheryl...but now that she has had her baby, hopefully she will be back and the show also comes back!!

This season has been horrible. I didn't realize how much Courtney Thorne-Smith brought to the show until I saw the episodes without her.

If they can get her back and get the writers to bring the zingers, it'll be good to have another season to make up for this one.

Many of us like comedy that is not offensive, that our children can watch, without unnecessary sex, cruelty, or bullies. Too many comedies today feel "funny" is sexual inuendo, put-downs, and insults. FNL is a completely different venue whick frankly stopped being about football on Friday nights and started being about how much sex teenagers have, how much they drink, and how much drugs they take. Oh great, another prime example of "life" at your local high school. Give us a couple of shows our "kids" can watch, please.

The show is what the show is - just a silly show that's a mindless half hour - nothing wrong with that. No one's ever called it a great show but it isn't terrible either. A lot of people hype up stuff like Arrested Development to be the end all be all, but in reality that was a show that people just took to be way more sophisticated than it really was. There are worse things than this show to watch.

The show has been in off-network syndication for two years. There is really no need to make more episodes. Since the program is produced by Disney and the network is owned by Disney, and the show is syndicated by Disney... well, it all adds up. "According to Jim" is enough case to bring back the fin-syn rules (which barred the networks from the syndication business.)
