		<description>My only question is: &quot;WHICH British pirate station?&quot;  In the 1960s, there were several, including Radio London and Radio Caroline.  Radio London, for example, was on a converted surplus WWII U.S. Minesweeper packing 50,000 watts of power, anchored in the very rough North Sea.  From what I understand, they often had trouble keeping the needle on the record when the ocean got rough, and the DJ&#039;s chair was actually strapped down!
