Robert Plant keeps mum on Led Zeppelin tour

Plantledtour_l For all the recent chatter of a full-on Led Zeppelin reunion tour, one person remains steadfastly mum about the subject: Robert Plant. When EW.com sat down with Plant and his duet partner, Alison Krauss, earlier this week, we asked him about Jimmy Page's comment that if there were to be a tour it "certainly" wouldn't happen before September. Plant just shrugged. Instead, he spoke of his plans with Krauss (their album, Raising Sand, is about to pass the 800,000 mark in the U.S.). "In September, Allison and I have to start doing the Dale & Grace tour of Louisiana," Plant said, referring to the duo who had a 1963 hit with the song "I'm Leaving it Up to You." "We just keep going."

It is unfortuneate on several fronts. First of all my personal opinion, for what it is worth, is that Plant & Krauss's new album is par. I am not sure I see the hoopla about it. Additionally I can't digest this new sound RP is rolling to. Just can't even finish any of the songs so perhaps it's big smash with the country folks.
On the Led Zep front I agree with RP's remarks that it would be the same ol thing around and around. I have read that JP has new material he wants to break out. Thats the direction I would love to see some new stuff with Percy jumping in after he finishes his prancing around with Krauss. Uggh. Fortuneatly she's hot.

Oh TC, you gotta be kidding me. It was bad enough when Sammy Hagar nearly ruined Van Halen; now you want him to front the best rock and roll band of all time??????? I'd take Jessica Simpson first. Well, okay, not THAT bad, but hopefully Sammy stays in Cabo Wabo or whereever the hell he is these days.

i'm getting very tired of plant's attitude. time for page, jones, and bonham to hire sammy hagar and hit the road !

Considering his lifestyle, I think he looks pretty good. He looks better than Keith Richards, that's for sure. As for Led Zep, I'll believe it when Robert says yes; he's always been the holdout.

Not the pretty doll he used to be some 35 years ago but he certainly is a vintage hero.

That isn't the most flattering photo of Robert. But I think he's looking great these days! And he's sounds fabulous! Hope he and Alison tour in my area! And if he and the boys do tour, I'll be there, although I have my doubts it will happen.

omg: What are you advocating? Plastic surgery? Locking himself in a closet because he looks old? I'd like to see how good you look when you hit his age.

Has he looked in the mirror lately and realized it is 30 years later and that look isn't working for him anymore? Yikes. Still hope for reunion tour tho. He is the bomb, and can't believe he still has a voice left after that career of his. Impressed with his duos too.
